V.: New friends

Flashback – The Phantomhive Manor

     „There's a gossip that Undertaker has a co-worker. A female." Ciel said to his butler sitting opposite to him in the carriage. "What do you want me to do, my lord?" Sebastian asked. "I want you to learn something about her – who she is, how well does she know Undertaker and such." The butler tilted his head a bit to side. "And why's that if I may ask?" Ciel, still looking out of window replied with serious face: "Undertaker is the best source of information about matters of the underworld. And with information comes power. We need to have some leverage on him in case something went... wrong." Sebastian's lips formed into his trademark smirk. "Yes, my lord."

End of flashback – Your POV

     "Your name will be enough for a start." You were surprised by his response which you hopefully managed to hide. You were already quite used to Undertaker's nicknames but it would be nice for someone to call you by your real name. Maybe it could even make your friend jealous and he'd tell you his name. "[Y/N], [y/n] [l/n]. But you can call me just [y/n] or human." You joked and smiled. The butler returned your smile and damn, he was hot. You blushed lightly again. Why were there so many handsome men around you? "I'm Sebastian Michaelis. It's nice to meet you, [y/n]." He bowed a bit. You also bowed and bit your lip. "It's quite embarrassing mister Michaelis," the black-haired man cleared his throat, and said: "Call me Sebastian." You nodded. "Alright, Sebastian, may I ask you what's your masters name? You see, I'm new to this business and to this part of town and don't really know about many things." You scratched the back of your head. He waved his hand. "Don't worry about it," he smiled, "My young master is Ciel Phantomhive, head of the Phantomhive family and the Queen's watchdog. He often comes to Undertaker for information about cases he tries to solve." You gasped in surprise. "But he looks so young!" You whisper shouted, making Sebastian chuckle fondly. "M'lady, please don't underestimate my master. I assure you he's more capable than the whole Scotland Yard." You nodded and turned around to look at the door that led to your work room. They still weren't returning, what could they be doing there? "Am I making you uncomfortable?" He asked with eyebrows knitted together. "No, I'm sorry," you blushed and shook you head, "It's my first time being alone with a customer so I'm a bit nervous." You explained and motioned to one of the coffins. "Please, sit down." You offered politely and smiled which he did too. "No, thank you. So what are you doing here? It's the last place I'd expect to meet such a nice young lady." Your blush grew darker. "My parent's kicked me out so I had to find a work instead of studying and well, I ended up here." You smiled fondly, remember all the good times you had with Undertaker but then you blushed even darker red when you recalled this morning events. Good thing that this place is so dark. "And do you like the work?" Sebastian asked with surprised look. "Yes, I'm really interested in human body so this is a perfect work for me." You said happily. "I see, but if you ever changed your mind remember that our manor isn't too far from here and you'd be welcome to join our household." He said smiling but obviously serious. "I will and thank you." No, you're not gonna ever change your mind.

     Finally Undertaker and the boy, Ciel, returned. Your friend seemed to feel uneasy but relaxed the moment he saw you. You wondered why that might be. "We're done here Sebastian, let's return home." Ciel said, his expression as serious as always. "Very well my lord." The butler said but then looked at you. "However my lord, I'd like to suggest we take this girl with us? She's new here and doesn't know her way around." Undertaker tensed again and stepped closer to you, putting one hand on your shoulder. You didn't think much about it since he always acted a bit strangely with other men in the room. The boy smirked and seemed to think about it. "Is that so? I think it could be a good idea if she wants to go too." All eyes were on you. "Ehm... I think it would be nice if it's really okay." You smiled nervously. "Then it's decided. Sebastian, please tell the carriage driver that we'll be walking home. We'll be waiting for you outside." Ciel said and left with his butler. You turned to Undertaker who looked like he couldn't believe what just happened. "Is everything okay?" You asked worried. He shook his head and sighed. "Just be careful, okay?" He said quietly. You were taken aback by this sudden change in his behaviour. Why was he so worried about you, you'll be with Queen's watchdog for god's sake! You can't be safer than that! But you said nothing and decided to hug him instead. "Don't worry," you mumbled into his chest and then pulled away grinning, "I like you more than them anyway." He smiled at you and pulled you back into hug. "You silly~." He grinned and let go of you. "Bye~." You waved and stepped out of door.

     It was late afternoon but the sun was still shining and it was pretty warm too. You smiled and stepped closer to your guides. "Shall we go?" Sebastian smiled and motioned with his hand. You nodded and let them lead you. You told them about your shopping trip with Undertaker and that you knew where the most essential shops are but that you'd like to know more. They showed you all the important places and building of this part of town – the square, all the market places, police station, one of the shops that belonged to Ciel's Funtom company. "I didn't know that you are also a businessman!" You grinned and looked at the toys in the shop. He huffed behind you and then you continued your journey. Sebastian pointed out every important or interesting building and you always listened carefully. You enjoyed this afternoon greatly, both of your companions talked with you about all kinds of things and you learned something new about them too. For example that Ciel's both parents died in fire few years ago, that Sebastian is a huge cat lover (since you had to do almost half hour stop for him to cuddle with one stray cat) and that he was not only very handsome but also charming. You blushed every time he smiled at you or complimented you.

     By the time you arrived at the Phantomhive manor it was already dark. Moon and stars were hidden behind clouds and it looked like it was going to rain soon. "This not good miss [y/n], maybe you should stay with us tonight." Ciel said but you shook your head resolutely. "Definitely not, Undertaker would be surely afraid and we have a lot of work planned for tomorrow. But thank you for your kind offer." You smiled at him. "Sebastian will escort you home then." Sebastian bowed to his master and wished him a goodnight. "Let's get going." He smiled and offered you his arm. You blushed for thousandth time today and then stopped. Wait, I'll be alone with him the whole time and it's so dark. Your face was red as roses and you were quite panicking. You took his arm nevertheless and set out to your home.
