Lauren's POVI open my eyes and feel a vibration on my pillow. I choose to ignore it because I knew it had to be my phone and whoever is trying to contact me, will eventually go away after a while. Thankfully it did stop and I close my eyes again, hoping I could drift back to sleep. I guess I spoke too soon because seconds later, the vibration went off again.
Whoever this is better have a good explanation on to why they are waking me up this freaking early!
I groan and still with my eyes closed, I reach under the pillow and try to find the phone by skimming my hands on the bed sheets. When I finally feel it, I grab it from under the pillow and bring it in front of my face. I open my eyes and squint at the brightness coming from the screen.
The number that was trying to call me twice was a random number I've never seen before so I declined it. I hope whoever it was is happy now because once I wake up, I can't go back to sleep. Of course unless it's like at 2 or 3 in the morning, then I definitely will go back to sleep.
Now I was fully awake, remembering we had a game this afternoon.
I get up from my bed and look over at the other bed and see Moe peacefully sleeping. I couldn't help myself but smile at her, she was my little one. Since I had the bed closest to the window, I move the curtains out of the way and look outside below me. The streets of Houston Texas were still quiet and the sun beams brightly down on me.
I wanted to get some coffee for me and Moe and I remember seeing a small café before walking into the hotel yesterday.
Looking down on the streets, sure enough the little café, Minuti Coffee, was in my sight. I check the time and it was 8:03 in the morning and we had a meeting later with the team usually around 9. I decided to get something to drink beforehand because I don't want to pass out sleeping when Jill was discussing important things.
I look around the room and put on my flip flops, grab my key card and wallet from the nightstand, and shove my phone in my short's pocket.
Before walking out, I look over at Moe and choose not to wake her up. She needed more sleep than I do because knowing her sleeping schedule, she likes to sleep late and wake up late. I had to come back here later and wake her up myself.
I quietly open the door and walk out quietly, shutting it slowly behind me. Once I heard the click, I let go of the doorhandle and make my way down the hall to the elevator.
I look down on my phone and check my twitter and messages. I've gotten a few texts and tweets from my friends and family members wishing me a good luck later today at the game.
I step into the elevator and press the button going down the lobby. I reply back to the ones from my mom, dad, and Jrue. I heard the ding telling me to get out of the elevator and I look up from my phone, before walking out.
The lobby was beautifully lit with chandeliers hanging above me, glass tables, and stunning marble floors. As I pass the main lobby desk, I shove my phone in my pocket and feel the warm, Texas air on my face as I step out the glass doors.
I look out at the street across from me and see the small little coffee shop ahead. I walk over to the traffic light post and press the button to cross over to the other side. The roads weren't too busy and cars passed here and there at the intersection.
