Chapter 18

It has been 10 years now, me and the kids moved away and Jax stayed with his club. I have Abel, Jo and Thomas but I also have started my new bike crew to mainly keep my kids safe and since it's the only life I know.

My crew consist of only men, mainly men with tattoos and we all have a symbol on our wrists we're called Demons because my crew show no mercy. My kids are in school now and Abels 18 and Thomas and Jo are 16. Abel keeps asking about Jax and I have no idea what to tell him, we divorced and I disappeared with the kids since he didn't show interest.

"Abel, Tom, Jo come on school get in the car" I shouted upstairs

Not long after I heard 3 voices coming downstairs and it sounded like Thomas and Abel were teasing Jo about this boy she says is her friend, Tom and Abel keep saying it's her boyfriend.

"Mom tell them that Enzo is just a friend"  Jo pleads

"Boys if Jo likes this boy as just a friend leave her to it, it'll be different when you like a girl anyway come on into the car I need to get to work"

I drove to the school I had
My kut on and got out the car to see the other parents, I watched my kids go into the school as another parent approached me

"Hello you must be Jo's mother" I took off my glasses and turned to her

"Yes I am you are" I say being polite

"Oh I'm Enzo's mother I was wondering if you and your family would like to come to our home for a meal one night" I thought about it then thought " no how about your family comes to my house it's just I have a big family and would hate for you to be put out" thinking about my crew

"Why not any times or dates ?" She asks

"How about tonight since it's the weekend tomorrow"

"Wonderful" we say our goodbyes and I head to the clubhouse

Walking in I didn't expect to see the sons of anarchy sat around my table, the first person I saw was Gemma

"Hey Gemma what're you doing here" she turns to me looking shocked

"Ray what're you doing here, we're here trying to do some business with this club, omg where's my grand babies "

"I'm here because I created this club, I'm president and the kids are at school"

"Well the boys are in the chapel go" she ushered

"Wait is Jax here?"

"No but he will be later" I groaned then walked into the chapel

"Hello boys miss me" they all looked shocked then hugged me

"So what business can I help you with"

"We want some guns off of you so we can sell them" Clay said

"Done one moment please" I took out my phone ringing a club member "hey scratch get a crate of guns the good ones bring them to the chapel thanks" they'll be here soon" I smiled

They soon arrived and Clay smiled at me and told me they were the best guns and would make a killing I told him I want 50% and he agreed we said our goodbyes and I picked up the kids taking them home, I didn't invite the crew tonight because I invited Gemma and Clay for the kids.

I made a great feast for a family and guests meal and set out 10 places at the table to make sure I had enough. I heard the doorbell and answered to Enzos family we greeted each other and I introduced them to Gemma and Clay.

Halfway through dinner Abel asked

"Grandma Gem is dad coming to the meal?" I answered

"Your father couldn't make it Abel"

"If you don't mind me asking Ray what happened or where is the children's father" Enzos mother Mia asked

I didn't get a chance to answer because the doorbell rang

"I wonder who that could be" I got up making my way to the door

Opening the door I saw someone I wasn't sure I wanted to see again, I saw Jax

"What ,...... what are you doing here"

"Mom texted telling me to come here, can I see my kids"

"We're in the middle of dinner"

"Mmm always loved your cooking" he laughed

"Jax not funny and no funny business ok there's a place free next to my place sit there I'll get you a plate and some food"

"Aww love you babe" he said smirking I stuck up the middle finger at him hearing a chuckle in return.

Being followed into the dining room I said "hey kids look who dropped in dad" I said as Jax walked around the corner sitting down the kids got up to hug Jax, I loved seeing them hug him except it looked awkward when Jo didn't even acknowledge him, although she did still blame him for when her and Thomas were abducted since it took 3 month to find them with a loony man who wanted his wife to be happy since she couldn't have kids.

I got Jax a plate and then introduced him to Mia and her husband.

Once the meal was over I said goodbye and shown the family out, once done I sat in the living room and the kids went upstairs to do homework

"Why is Jo so scared of me" Jax asked

"She blames you for her being abducted I've told her it wasn't your fault but even I feel like it was a little for you not being there or answering the phone that day but she feels it as the morning before you made that promise to her which you broke"

"And I never made that promise to Thomas so he's fine with me and Abel doesn't know so he's fine but my little princess I broke her promise"

"You also broke her heart for not being there when she needed you" I got up and went to go see if Jo was ok

When I got upstairs I found her crying in her bed I nudged her to move over and climbed in and snuggled her

"Hey what's wrong baby girl"

"Whys dad here"

"He came on a job didn't know We were here but wanted to see you and your brothers I'm sure he missed you all"

"But he could never keep us safe, you told us the truth about the day we were abducted and dad didn't care about me and Tom enough to keep that promise remember mom"

"I do remember you had a nightmare and your dad promised you that......" I got cut off by Jax walking in the room making our eyes turn to him

"I promised that I wouldn't let anyone or anything hurt you ever as long as I live" he looked full of sorrow and regret "but I broke that while breaking yours and your moms heart and I love you both and the boys and want nothing more than to have my family back" he says coming over and sits on the bed, he opens his arms for Jo and says "please princess can you forgive me" she goes into his arms  for a hug and sniffles "I can try" I giggle at that then smile at Jax and nod.
