Rileys POV
I stopped doing what I was doing my whole body froze
" Penelope is going to art school in Europe tomorrow "
I want to cry actually I think I am crying my best- Maya is leaving me officially forever. We can never become friends like we used to because of me we could've created so many great memories at the bay window.
Oh the bay window it's so empty with out her in fact I never sit on it since that day I can't even look at it I've been keeping a brave face on ever since we split up but there's only so much we can do. I hate myself everyday for not being there for her especially after she had a miscarriage with Lucas's baby and letting her go through that alone.
5 years later
Maya's pov
" Baby girl it's so great to finally have you home!" My mother said greeting me with a hug after I walked through the doors of her and Shawn's new place, they got a new place once they figured out my mother was pregnant.
I hugged my mother for a while until I saw Shawn standing behind her. I let go of her to give him a hug.
" hey Shawn." I said hugging him.
" hey kiddo." He responded hugging me back.
It was thanksgiving and I haven't been home really since graduation. My parents usually came and flew to England I just couldn't bare with the hurting of New York anymore but now that I'm all healed with the pain and I've accepted the loving of myself I finally decided to stop being a coward and come home to your family So I did.
" I'm gonna show you your room so you can freshen up for dinner." My mom said Shawn grabbed my suitcase and carried it behind her me trailing behind.
Once we reached the room I'll be staying in for a few days my mom turned around and gave me one more hug. Once she let go her and Shawn walked out of my room.
2hrs later
I finally finished unpacking got ready and I took a little nap in the process this jet leg was seriously killing me. I walked down the stairs and heard my parents talking to people.
"I'm so happy I get to see her, I hope she's happy as well." I heard a voice I stood still in the staircase hiding but eves dropping on the conversation.
" trust me she's gonna be happy to see you." I shrugged my shoulders and decided to come out of hiding standing in the kitchen was Topanga and Cory I swear a tear fell from my eye when I saw them I ran into corys arms giving him a hug as he hugged me back. I haven't seen them in basically since Riley and I stopped being friends. I let go of him ( which was hard to do) but only to hug topanga.
" I missed you guys." I said letting go of topanga and hugging Cory one more time which made everyone laugh.
"I'm sorry." I whispered feeling guilty for shutting them out.
" you have nothing to be sorry for Maya. We still love you and we're so proud of you." Cory said I let go of him and looked at him and topanga, in love with how they're still together.
" mom dad what's going on." I turned around and saw Riley walking from the hallway towards us.
Her eyes widen once she saw me.
" Maya " she said in a whisper once she got closer to me.
" Riley." I said to her in the same tone. She gave me a hugged I was surprise with at first but I hugged her back.
