PRINCE chapter onze

"Do you usually offer girls rides home or is it just some plot of yours?" I offered a playful grin, but it seemed Nikolai wasn't having any of that. He gives me a dry glare before returning to showering his phone in attention.

Milo gives me a quick hug before I'm able to follow Nikolai out a separate door and into a large car garage. There was easily about four cars inside, and with the knowledge that Mel had gone out on errands and Levi's car was outside, I couldn't help but envy this rich boy beside me.

"You ever give money out to charity?"

"Every month."

"To?"

"Any local ones. I usually don't deal with the money, personally. It's not my money anyway," I could hear the exhaustion in his tone. He pressed a button on his keychain and a bright red Ferrari in the far corner flashed. "Come on."

"I'm still hungry."

"You're going home."

"I'll have to cook."

"Sounds like a personal problem," Nikolai opened the garage and backed out into the street before making a sharp turn and zooming towards the gated entrance.

"What happened to being friends via the Elle-Nik contract?"

"Never included friends. Just friendly names," Nikolai grunted without any emotion evident in his face.

"Okay, I know I might have a stick up my ass, but what's up with you? Or are we back to square one?"

"Did we ever escape it?" He'd briefly given me a glance as we paused before a stop sign, thereafter stomping on the gas and slowly releasing. In result, my head pounded against the headrest of the chair and I groaned.

"Ow," I yelled with emphasis.

No emotion, no reply, no movement. Besides him controlling the wheel, of course.

"Nikolai," I said slowly, enunciating his name clearly. When he didn't respond, I said it again. "Pull over."

The car sped up.

"Pull over!" Faster.

"Fucking hell, Nik, you're speeding so fast that if you do stop one of us is gonna fly through the windshield! I'll just fucking jump!"

The car screeched with a drift as it turned a corner and stopped in the middle of the street. Smoke drifted into the air, erupting from the tires as they cause friction along the road. Cars continued to pass by. And I wondered how we'd come to such a safe stop; though I did slightly tap my head against the window-stop without anyone hitting us, and Nik hitting anyone.

"Out."

I looked away from the window to the boy with blue eyes. "Pardon?"

"Out. Now."

"Are you fucking kidding me, right now? You offered me the ride, asshole."
