He looked to see non other than Joshua fucking Dun. Tyler grabbed in the ice chest a gave him one. "Thanks, Ty."

"He actually knows my name?" Tyler thought.

Melanie starts to talk about people who can and can't sing. "Ryan, you're okay. Brendon, you slay. Pat, yes--"

"What about me?" Troye asked.

"Amazing, very unique."

"Me?" Ashley asked, raising an eyebrow.

"10 out of 10."

"What about Tyler?" Brendon said, everyone's heads turned to the small framed boy sitting on the blanket.

Melanie darted her eyes to Tyler, looking for words. "I've actually never heard him sing."

"What!? Dude, now you have to sing for us!" Patrick bursted out. Everyone cheered in agreement.

Tyler giggled nervously, shaking his head. "I don't sing."

"Yes, you do." Patrick said.

"How'd you know?"

Brendon started laughing, sounding like he was choking. "Ty, just fucking sing. We all did it. I mean, have you heard Ryan over here?"

Ryan rammed his elbow into Brendon's side, not hurting him. "Fucking rude." Ryan exclaimed.

Tyler looked at Melanie with puppy eyes. She shook her head. "Just do it."

Tyler thought of what he could sing. He never sung in front of people before. Only is his room when no one was home. Tyler thought, and thought. Finally, one song he wrote came to mind. By the time he knew what to sing, everyone was talking amongst themselves. "I'll be right back." He remembered something he could use that he saw in the car.

He got up and went to the car, unlocking it and reaching in the back, getting a cheap old instrument, that somehow still worked. He took a few moments staring at it, thinking about his childhood. He walked back, everyone staring at him.

Ashley raised a brow. "Why do you have that toy piano?"

"Are you fucking dumb Ashley?" Brendon spat, "He's gonna sing for us!"

Everyone started smiling as Tyler waited for the piano to turn on, and he sat down in his spot.

The green light flashed, letting out a little jingle.

He started playing a eerie tune, that lasted a few moments. He hit a button that started a beat, this was a song he wrote about a girl he used to know.

"Ruby I hope I see you, I've waited all this week for you to walk my way, your soul will capture me."

Everyone was so amazed by just those few notes and lyrics. They wanted to sing along, but they didn't know the words. "Your momma painted your room, a shade of pink she said, but with your great arrival, that shade deserves a red."

Josh smiled at his lyrics. He's never heard music like his before. And for once that evening, it was like Tyler and Josh were alone, with everyone quite, not even sure what to do. They'd never expect the shy kid to sing so well. Even Brendon was silent.

Tyler began his chorus, Tyler heard Melanie's breath hitched, making Tyler laugh a little. "You're true and pure, you hold the cure, we're all diseased, you hold the key. "

Tyler's song slowed down, sounding like and angel. His slender fingers dancing on the small contraption as the song began getting faster. "Tell our dad I'm sorry" Tyler repeated several times.

"You're an angel!" He screamed.

Everyone went crazy, like Tyler was playing for a concert. Everyone started yelling and cheering. Mostly Brendon, along with Melanie.

He sang "Tell our dad I'm sorry." A few more times, before finishing the song. He looked up from his piano, looking straight into Josh's dark brown eyes. Melanie gave him a tight hug. "Tyler, that was so fucking beautiful!"

(A/n) ik these are annoying but I'm sorry this sucked or if it was cringey. I hope you enjoyed it. You too Hope ;)))
