It seemed like the longer I lived here the warmer it got which I didn't mind. Daryl and Merle were still steadily working at the shop without any problems. Everything seemed to be going great. Everyone was getting along and things were running smoothly.
We're all currently at work. Business seemed to pick up after the winter months had passed. People were getting out more and that means more repairs on cars were needing to be done. Especially when people needed new tires. With all the business Harry needed me in the back shop.
I didn't mind though. I loved getting my hands dirty. The only problem was that Daryl enjoyed having me back there a little too much. Through the past couple months he had really opened up to me and had become more affectionate when we were alone.
I had somehow managed to get greasy hand prints on the side of my shirt which I knew was from where Daryl would occasionally grab me when I was bent over a car working. Right now though I was currently on a creeper working under a car quietly.
The soft rock music that Daryl loved was playing in the back room. Merle was out on lunch by himself. Since we were so busy we had to take lunch in shifts and not all at once. Which meant Daryl and I couldn't have lunch together like we normally did.
"Ye know," Daryl said as I felt him grab my ankles. I could feel the cool grease on my skin. He tugged and I slid out from under the car. "It's kinda sexy te see ye workin' on cars," he said. I rolled my eyes but felt my face become hot as I tried to avoid his eyes.
"Just shut up Dixon and hand me the wrench," I said while holding out my hand. I felt the wrench come into reach but before I could close my fingers around it Daryl pulled it away. I glared up at him. "Hey! If Harry sees us goofing off we'll get in trouble," I said.
