Jackson's mind was racing. He wasn't sure why Mark was lying to him. Had he cut again? Had he been thinking of breaking up with him?
No, Jackson shook the last thought away he wouldn't break up with me...I know he wouldn't.
But it was still a thought that lingered in his mind because it could be possible. But it wasn't for sure. There were so many possible things Mark did or was thinking of doing. And just the thought of that scared Jackson.
Jackson let out a sigh as he stuck his key in the keyhole of his front door, stepping in the house and escaping the cold air from outside.
"I'm home," he called out to his mother, slipping off his shoes before he ran upstairs to his room.
"Maybe I'm just overreacting," he spoke to himself "he promised he wouldn't. So maybe I'm just overreacting like I always do."

Mark let out a muffled cry into his pillow, the new cuts and bruises on his body hurting like hell.
Of course the first thing his step-father had to do when he got home was yell and scream at Mark and his mother and then beat them senseless.
He screamed into his pillow, recalling everything his step-father had yelled at him and his mother.
"The both of you are so fucking useless! I don't even know why in the hell I married you because you can't do anything right! You useless pieces of shit get out of my sight." Mark's step-father yelled with a bitter laugh at the end.
Mark wanted to say something- to stick up for the two of them but he couldn't. He was too scared because that'd mean more beating for them and Mark knew that his mother wouldn't want that.
But what was he supposed to do? Just stand there in tears and watch?
Mark already thought he was useless and not being able to stick up for him and his mother made it worse.
It tore him to pieces.

Yeah I dunno what's with all the shitty angst chapters in my books lately but fuck it, I'm posting it anyways.
But yeah. .there will be a happy ending for them but you'll just have to wait for that ;]
