So I heard you found somebody else, and at first I thought it was a lie...
"I'm so sorry, Brooke," Alexis kept repeating. My eyes grew puffy from the water retention which made it obvious that I held back tears. I felt a strong shot of adrenaline every time I thought about Rocky happy with somebody else. My body quivered and my heart ached. It was like the whole world had frozen around me and I was left alone. Alexis attempted once again to comfort me, but I cut her off. "Let's just..... Go to sleep and talk tomorrow."
"Fine. Goodnight," she agreed.I remained restless. Sleeping seemed impossible. Desperately, I clung to my pillow so I wouldn't feel so alone. I held it the way I used to hold Rocky when we used to sleep together. Another flashback waved over me:
Me and Rocky were being lazy together in my bedroom. I sat on my bed scrolling through some photos I took on our vacation in Mexico, and he sat next to me strumming away on an acoustic guitar. After mindlessly thrumming for a while, he stared at the photos on my laptop as well. "You're such a great photographer...." he commented, breaking the silence between us.
"You're such a great songwriter," I replied.
"A good songwriter is only as good as their inspiration...." His voice trailed off. I caught his sparkling green eyes staring into mine romantically. I didn't respond. I just pulled my face toward his and kissed him. After breaking away, Rocky flopped down onto his side and rolled me down to lay on my hip and face him. All it took was a repeated kiss to get us in that certain mood. His hands slithered up and down my body. Eventually, he gripped my waist and drew my chest inward. "I can't imagine a life without you," I moaned. From that moment on, we laid there motionlessly. My head was still tucked into his chest. I felt the soft beating of his heart in my cheekbone. All possible space between us remained nonexistent.I played back the memory over and over again. I was always genuinely happy in his arms. And now another woman is felling what I did. The thought consumed me. I tried my best not to think about it and focused on the good memories until I could finally fall asleep. The words "I can't imagine a life without you" came back to haunt me. For that is the nightmare I'll be stuck in.

The second I walked into the living room, I found Alexis asleep on the couch with her face smashed into the keyboard of her laptop. I wasn't sure if I should wake her up or let her sleep because by the looks of it, she got less sleep than I did.
The rustling noises from my morning routine awoke her anyways. For some reason, the sound of a knife chopping an apple into slices against a wood cutting board didn't wake her, but a sudden pop from the toaster woke her in a flash.
Once she was alert enough, I finally questioned why she looked that way. "I stayed up to do some inves...." she yawned. Before she completed her statement, I caught her dozing off again.
Curiously, I peeked over her shoulder to glance at what exactly was on that screen. Glowing before me was the Instagram photo of Rocky from last night, along with a mass of Google searches, Wikipedia pages, and other various websites. Yet all of them had one thing in common: The name Anna Warner was tied to them all. "Anna Warner?" I whispered confusedly. Then I slid out of the room to let Alexis rest.
I brought up the picture on my phone to analyze it. The woman had her leg bent in front of her. Rocky's head laid on top of it. He's completely shirtless and she's not wearing much either. On his collarbone, "Anna is bae" was written in marker. Then it hit me: That woman is Anna Warner.
Finally, Alexis slumped into my room with her laptop resting on her forearm. I repeated my question from earlier: "what were you doing last night?"
"I did some research." She placed the computer on my bed to show me everything. "This chick with Rocky in the photo? She's a Polish supermodel. Her name is Anna Warner."
"What else did you find out?"
"Not much. But I went a little deeper and found this...." She quickly changed tabs on her internet browser. On the other page was an Instagram photo from four months ago. "R5 played three shows in Tokyo in January. She was at one of them with her friends. She met Rocky at the meet and greet, but found him again after the concert in a Japanese club," Alexis explained. After that, she showed some pictures of Anna. "This is what really got my attention, though: She looks exactly like you."
I didn't realize it until she pointed it out, but it was true. Anna does look exactly like me.
