"Peri! I've got something for you!" (Y/n) said as he went inside the barn.

Lapis was gone to see Steven, so its just him and her alone to talk.

Peridot was sitting by a work bench tinkering with her defense drones.

"Clod, keep your noise to a minimum! I am in the middle of something!"

He shrugged as he set the box down to see what she's doing, you ruffled her triangular hair.

"So short stuff, whatcha got going on over here? Some Peri plans or something?"

"I am just making sure the drones are prepared when Yellow Diamond invades Earth."

(Y/n) put an arm around her shoulder, making her blush, stopping what she was doing.

"Peridot, there's a word for something like this...chill out and take a break. Homeworld won't come here immediately you know."

"Sorry to disappoint you (y/n), but I don't how to "chill out" at a time like this when I'm literally a wanted gem for calling my superior a clod."

She turned back to working on her robonoids.

He stood there thinking of a way to get his girlfriend to stop working.

Then an idea came, he immediately picked up Peridot from her chair like she was a child, making her yelp in surprise.

"Hey! What are you doing!? Put me down you miserable clod!" She squirmed and kicked around hissing.

"Ah, ah, ah. We've done this before Perry, you have to say please, remember?"

"Aggh! Why must you torture me like this!?"

He quickly gave her a kiss on her gem.

"Because your my Peridot, therefore I love you."

She blushed crazily.

"YOU KNOW I HATE BEING HELD!"

"C'mon, I know you like being held by me."

"Thats not true." She groaned, stopped kicking and calmed down a bit, looking into his eyes.

"Everytime I do important work, you always torture and distract me with earthly objects."

(Y/n) laughed as he hugged Peridot closer.

"What can I say? I love how cute you get when you pout at me."

"Ugh, so what is in that containing capsule over there?"

He let her down grinning as he went over to open the box.

Pulling out a boombox and a disc.

Peridot was very curious at this contraption.

"What kind of machine is that? Is it a weapon? A communication device?"

"Its none of those Perry, its a playing stereo I got from Sour Cream, i kinda thought you should have it since you miss using gem technology."

"Your specie's technology is so...primitive."

"Oh yeah? What about that Tablet Steven got you? Its like using your finger screen thing."

"Eh, touche."

Peridot and (y/n) laughed as he set the thing down.

"So you wanna try playing music on this?"

She raised an eyebrow.

"Whats music?"

"Its a combination of sound and singing, and it makes a person dance to the rhythm, here, I'll show you."
