"I love your blouse, Michelle! It looks incredibly good on you," Scott complimented Mitch. He was wearing a black, transparent blouse and tight, black skinny jeans.
Mitch turned around to show his outfit off and said: "thanks, hunty." He smirked at Scott. "Of course it looks good on me... 'I am see through, baby'," he sang and Scott laughed.
"So take a look inside?" Scott continued the song, with the intonation of a question. "Well, I can see your nipples," he noticed.
Mitch nodded and bit his lip. "Yeah, you like that?"
It made Scott feel warm inside. He was probably blushing. He nodded heavily, like a child asked if it wanted candy, with hunger, desire in its eyes. Yesyesyesyesyes I want!
God, Mitch was good at flirting. Almost incomprehensible this sexy man didn't have a boyfriend. Wait. He was flirting. So maybe because he wanted someone in particular? It gave Scott hope. He had decided that tonight he'd just try do drop the hints a little more obviously. He wanted them to be tonight like they always were but just a little extra, a little too much. He wanted to cross a line. The line of friendship, he guessed.
"You're gorgeous, Mitchy. Did you dress up for this?"
"Uhu. I was in the mood to dress up a little. If we'd go out I'd maybe put on heels."
"Nice! That's really cute. You're slaying the eyeliner too."
"Really? You like it?"
"I do, babe."
"Thanks!" Mitch smiled at his friend. That was nice.
"Well, I'm sorry I didn't dress up," Scott shrugged. He was just wearing some comfy clothes: grey sweat pants and a black tank top.
"Don't worry babe, you look handsome. Always." Mitch wasn't in the mood to hold back tonight. He just wanted to say everything he really thought of, to be real and natural, and also truthful, honest. Not that he'll tell Scott everything. He just didn't want to monitor himself, to control every word he spoke. He wanted to let go. Even if it was just a little.
"Aw, that's nice! You're the sweetest." Mitch had these moments Scott knew he was very honest with him, by the way he talked, and he loved that.
"I know! Now gimme some champagne honey!"
Scott laughed and sassily snapped his fingers as he filled the glasses. The two sat down on the couch in the living room. Two big, burning candles stood on the coffee table and Lemonade was playing in the background. The setting was perfect, their house felt warm and cozy.
"Cheers to three years of Superfruit!" Scott held up his glass of champagne to toast with Mitch.
"Here's to us!" They both took a sip of their glass.
"Mmm, this is good," Mitch approved. Scott smiled and nodded in agreement. Mitch stared at Scott and it was like he realized again what they were toasting for. "I still can't believe it's already three fucking years! Time flies."
"I know right?! I still remember as if it was yesterday how we nervously started our first video."
"God, we were nervous indeed. We had like no idea how to do it. I mean, we called it a 'vlog'..." Mitch rolled his eyes at their own ignorance.
"Oh, well, you've got to begin somewhere. And I think we got better in it quite quick though... Do you want do rewatch the first 'episode'?" Scott was enthusiastic and optimistic. He knew for sure Mitch totally wouldn't want to do that, but he was just teasing him.
