The time had come for the party, and I was terrified. I didn't want to go to the stupid party, but if I didn't, Tom would 'rip my head out my ass'.

I opened my wardrobe slowly, taking all the time I could to get ready. You're going to be fine Dan. I thought. Just show up for a few minutes then leave, you don't have to stay for long. I breathed a sigh of worry and sprayed my fringe with hairspray for the final perfection.

I came downstairs, and almost immediately Phil was at the bottom. He looked up at me and asked, "Hey, Dan. Where you off to?" With a loving glint in his eyes.

"Uhh, just, um...Mum wants to see me at her house." I stuttered nervously.
"Oh cool!"
I fake-smiled at him. I didn't like lying to my boyfriend.

I proceeded down the stairs and threw my shoes on. When I stood up, Phil was their putting his on too. Oh no.
"Phil, um...Mum wants to see me...alone." I looked at the floor. That was the worst part of it all.
"O-oh, OK then, off you go!" Phil smiled his world-famous smile and his eyes shone out, but it still didn't feel like it was a real smile. A true smile.
"OK, bye." I kissed Phil on the cheek tenderly when I was sure Dad was way out of sight.
"Bye!"
I opened the door and stepped outside. Then I made my way to the taxi.
I glanced back a Phil for a second, just to make sure he was real and still my boyfriend, then I set off to the 'Party'. It was most likely to be a 'Free chance to get drunk and hump girls'.
