"Then why is your nose bleeding"
"Just shut up Zara. Ok!"I yelled making her stop talking.
"Yo! What happened?"Illz asked.
"He hit me"I said not believing it.
"I'm pretty sure he didn't do it on purpose"
"I don't care. I told myself I would never get myself in another abusive relationship"I said wiping my tears.
"But rakim's not abusive and you know that. Your trying to paint this picture that he's just like devontae. Not all men are the same. Just let him apologize. He doesn't like putting his hands on woman unless its necessary. Because he respects woman. He was just in the heat of the moment and accidentally hit you"He said and I nodded.
"Don't call it quits when the going gets hard. Just keep that in mind but if he purposely hits you, call me and I will handle him"He said making me smile.
I seen rakim's car pull up instantly making me frown.
"Go talk to him. Imma take Zara with me"
"You are not taking my baby"
"I'm going to my momma house"He said smacking his teeth. I nodded and got out the car.
"Bye Zara"I waved at her.
"Bye"She said not looking at me.
"Fine! Be like that"I said about to walk away.
"Wait mommy!"She said getting out the car and hugging me.
"See you later"
"Love you mommy"She said kissing my nose.
"Love you too"I said kissing her cheek. She got back in the car and I waved as they drove away. Rakim was sitting right there on his car watching me the whole time. I walked up to him and just looked at him.
"I'm sorry baby. It's just tha-"I shushed him by putting my index finger to his mouth.
"It's ok reem. I forgive you. I know you didn't mean to hit me on purpose. You probably thought I was someone else and hit me"I said and he signed out of relief.
"I'm really sorry. Your nose looks bad"He said touching it.
"I'm ok"I said hugging his waist and putting my head on his stomach.
"I love you baby"He said kissing my forehead.
"I love you too but what happened after I left"I said looking up at him.
"Not really anything, I just left and came here"He said shrugging his shoulders.
"You were wrong reem"I said trying to move but he held me in place.
"People should know what's mine. He knew you were taken but still wanted you"He said calmly and I just rolled my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me"He said. I felt this urge to throw up so I backed away from reem and threw up on the pavement.
"You aight bae"He said holding back my hair.
"I don't know"I said sitting on the floor.
"You sure your not pregnant"
"That's what the pregnancy test said"
"How about I make an appointment for you in the morning and we can figure out why your throwing up?"He said and I shook my head no.
