"Mommy"
"Yes baby"I said to my daughter as I cleaned me and Devontae's room. When I was 18, I got pregnant by him and I hated the fact that it was by him. But I don't regret having her. She's the only thing that keeps me sane.
"Why is daddy so mean?"She asked.
"I don't know sweety"
"I wish he was nicer so we could spend time with each other"
"I wish too"I signed. Von provides for her but he doesn't spend time with her. I don't think zara even knows what her father looks like.
"Zara"I called after her.
"Yes mommy"
"Go downstairs to the kitchen and go have lunch"
"Are you coming?"
"In a few"
"Ok mommy! Love you"She said hugging me and kissing me in the cheek.
"Love you too"I said and she ran out the room.
"Get up"I heard devontae say. I stood up and he punched me in the face making me fall to the floor.
"So you talking to other dudes now"He yelled kicking me in the stomach.
"I'm not"I cried.
"Why are you lying to me"He yelled picking me up by my hair and slamming me into the wall.
"You don't even let me out the house"
"Go clean yourself up and get ready for bed"He said and then walked out the room. Its like he accuses me of false things just so he can put his hands on me.
I can't deal with this anymore.
I took a shower and packed me and zara some clothes. I went to von's safe and took millions of dollars from him.
"Zara"I said shaking her awake. It was about 12 at nite because I had to wait till von went to sleep.
"Hmmm.....Mommy"She said opening her eyes.
"I need you to get up because we're leaving"I whispered.
"What about daddy?"
"We'll talk about this later. But let's go"I said grabbing out bags.
"Ok mommy"She said slipping on her shoes.
We made it to the car without any of the guards looking and drove off.
I just need the best for me and my daughter.
