*Flashback~One hour ago*

[Alex's Point of View]

"You can come in. I'm dressed and the door is unlocked," Sophia announced.

I opened the door, I was really nervous. Ever since she kissed me, she hasn't left my head.

"I just wanted to drop by and see how you were doing. I saw the news about your dad. If you need anything, I'm-"

"Actually, can you do me a favor? You can not tell Austin."

Uh oh, this can't be good.

"Okay, as long as it's not illegal," I said.

She laughed, but I was dead serious.

"It's not illegal, but you need to take this job serious," she said.

She looked at me, I suppose was waiting for me to answer. I didn't say anything, but I nodded, "There is a car parked in front of this house and I think it is watching us. Can you please give me the license plate number?" Somebody has been watching this house.

I can't go! I'll get killed! What if that person is a murder. But, look at her. She is gorgeous! How could I say no to her? Maybe if I do this, she will like me.

I nodded and she hugged me. My grip around her tightened; I don't want this moment to end.

I want her to be more than a friend.

"Thank you," she whispered into my ear.

I pulled back from the hug and walked out of the bathroom.

I grabbed both paper and pen from Austin's room, then went out the back door. If I go through the back door, the person can't see me.

He probably wouldn't see me regardless because it's dark out.

As soon as I start to make my way to the corner of the house, it starts raining.

"This is just perfect!" I whisper sarcastically to myself.

Within three minutes, I am drenched with mud.

I better recieve a hug for this, or maybe another kiss.

I was at the corner of the house and I could see the car. The car looked like it was twenty years old. It was rusty and brown; It had every bad quality a car could possibly have.

I crawled closer to the car to get a better view

911-RUN

Once I finished writing the license plate number down, I snapped a picture of the car. I immediately regretted my actions because the flash was on. I ran for Austin's house as I heard the car door slam behind me.

I'm in trouble.

I ran faster towards Austin's house.

Don't look back.

"Come back here kid!" I could hear the man's voice getting closer to me.

I tripped over my feet and hit my head against the hard, wet ground.

I can't pass out. I told myself, I'm almost at Austin's house.

I hoisted myself up onto my feet and run towards the house. My head feels like a thousand pounds.

Keep Going!

I arrived at Austin's house. Slammed and locked the door.

I'm safe, for now.

I don't know if I can stay concious much longer.

I slowly made my way up the stairs.

Sophia doesn't want a guy who is weak! Man up!

I traveled to the guest room, where I found Austin and Sophia sitting together on the bed.

I walked over to Sophia and handed her the slip of paper.

"Here," I whispered. "I don't feel so hot."

I felt my body hit the floor. I wasn't not completely unconcious because I heardAustin and Sophia freaking out.

"This is all of my fault!"

"Stop blaming yourself! Sophia, you had nothing to do with this."

"Yes I did!"

I could hear Sophia sob and Austin trying to calm her down.

"He will be fine! Go get some ice in the kitchen and I'll put him on the bed."

I heard her exit the room. Austin sighed and carried me to the bed.

I heard footsteps come through the door.

"I brought ice and I also called your mom and Alex's mom. They should be here soon."

When somebody put the ice pack on my face, I quickly sat up.

"You're okay!"

Sophia jumped up and down, which earned a chuckle from me. I placed the ice pack gently on my head.

"Did you both look at the paper?" I asked, I was trying to ease the stress and tension in the air.

They both shook their heads. Austin picked up the paper from off the nightstand and read the license plate number aloud.

"911-RUN"

"That's creepy. It's like the license plate is telling the police to back off." Sophia shared, I nodded in agreement.

" I don't think that person is afraid of breaking the law."

When I said that, I remembered the picture I took of the car. I quickly reached in my pocket for my phone and pulled up the picture I've taken earlier. Austin's eyes were glued to the picture.

"What's wrong?" Sophia asked.

Austin handed me my phone. For the first time, I looked at the photo.

Are my eyes deceiving me?

"This can't be," I mumbled, the man in the picture wasn't any random person. It was Austin's dad.
