Dark Night: Part 2

It didn't end.

Your battle against The Dark Knight left Los Angles destroyed, as his Hellbat armor rivaled your powers.

In the middle of the city turned war zone, you kneeled on the street, beaten and exhausted.

Out of the smoke of the destroyed city approached Batman, his armor scratched and worn.

Batman: It's over X. Stop this now before you hurt anyone.

X: So that you and the other Boy Scouts can send me back to Belle Reve? I would rather die!

Batman: Think of what you are doing. You can't fully control your powers, even now you run the risk of losing control.

X: Oh really? So the fact that I can control these "weapons" means I'm losing control?

Batman: That isn't even the surface of what you can do. There is something more inside of you that you don't understand.

X: I don't understand! Shut up!

You flew at Batman, sending him through a already crumbling building.

The Dark Knight stabilized himself mid flight, allowing him to counterattack with a energy blast, which sent you through the ground and into a underground parking lot.

Batman attacked you with a flurry of batarangs, which you blocked with a summoned shield, which you struck Batman with, sending him upward unto the street.

Before you could issue a attack, Batman caught your punch, and gave you one, sending you into a distant theater.

You landed in the theater lobby, but Batman soon sent you into the screening room.

You quickly attacked The Dark Knight by throwing theatre chairs, which staggered him long enough for you to throw him through the theatre screen.

You pinned Batman against a brick wall, and began to lay strikes on his face, breaking a part of his visor off, exposing part of his face.

With a powerful strike, you sent Batman through the wall and into a nearby alley.

Batman quickly jumped up, and stunned you with a explosive batarang, and sent you into the air with a uppercut.

You tore through the clouds at breakneck speed, and Batman followed you up, striking you with a energy infused punch, which sent you into orbit.

Before Batman could deliver another strike, you threw him away from you and into the WayneTech satellite.

While in orbit, a type of energy breathing mask formed on your face without your doing, and you thought that it was another ability you had.

You latched onto the satellite, approaching the staggered Batman.

X: All I want is for you, all of you, to leave me alone!

Batman: You don't understand! You are the only person who can save the universe!

X: From what!? Who!?

You kicked Batman, almost knocking him off the satellite.

X: Tell me!

Batman looked you in the eyes with a scowl.

Batman: Noximus.

You staggered back, as that name made you feel uneasy.

X: W-Who is he? Who is Noximus!?

You grabbed Batman by the collar.

X: Who is he!?

As you held Batman, he placed a explosive device on your chest, and kicked you off the satellite.

You saw Batman pull a detonator from his utility belt, and press it.

The explosion from the device on your chest was massive, as it was seen from the city below.

You were weakened by the explosion, and fell back down to Earth.

As you descended rapidly back to Earth, burning through the atmosphere, you thought of how you came to this.

X: It's crazy, a few months ago I was making a living bumming jewelry from shops with piss security, now I'm falling down to Earth, like an angel banished from heaven, with powers I don't understand, powers that, in the end, didn't help me for shit.

You tore through the atmosphere and entered the city skyline.

X: From up here, I'm starting to look back and wonder if it was all worth it. The cash, the cars, the fake friends who would sell you out at the first sign of trouble, it wasn't worth it. None of it. The only person who stuck with me was Rox, hell, it's my fault she is a thief, I got her into this life when we were in high school. I was the bad boy from the slums, and she was a sweet nerd from uptown. And it's my fault she's in trouble.

You fell into a building, completely destroying it, and landed on a car in the underground parking lot below.

A ray of light from the sun managed to get through the smoke that covered the sky, and landed on you as you laid, weakened, in the middle of the decimated city.

You pulled the photo of you and Rox at the beach.

X: I-I'm sorry Rox. I'm so sorry.

Batman, injured, came into your view.

You handed him the photo.

X: G-Give this to h-her, t-tell her I'm sorry.

Batman took the photo.

X: I'm sorry Rox. I'm so s-

You slipped into darkness.
