Elites

X tries to steal the Elites List, and comes in a confrontation with Batman.

You had snuck into the computer center of the Watchtower.

After leaving Gorilla City, Starfire left for her headquarters, leaving you alone to take the Elites List.

You had Rox in your earpiece.

Rox: Hey X?

X: Yeah.

Rox: Are you sure about this? We will be betraying the League....

X: They betrayed us. If we don't act now, we will all be killed by not just Noximus, but Darkseid too.

Rox went silent for a moment.

Rox: Okay, wherever you go, I go. Because....we're a team....you and me.

X: X and Rox, together forever.

You continued through the computer archives until you found it.

The League Classifieds Computer.

You pressed a set of buttons, got through the security checks, and searched through the files.

Then, after hours of data mining, you found it.

A list of names.

The ELITES

You read the first few names

Barbara Gordon - Burnside, Gotham City
David Hyde - Pacific Ocean
Tatsu Yamashiro - Tokyo, Japan
Leonard Snart - North Korea, specific location unknown

The list went on.

You downloaded the list onto a computer chip, and saw a familiar face as you turned to leave.

Batman: I can't let you take that.

X: What will you do to stop me? You know as well as I do that duking it out in this space station will hurt countless people.

Batman: You're right. I won't attack you here, but I promise you this....

If you leave with that list, you will be public enemy number one.

You walked past Batman.

X: You knew that this was going to happen, that at some point, we would face each other as enemies.

Batman didn't even bother to turn around to meet your gaze.

X: Tell Fate I'm sorry, but I can't trust the League anymore.

You left with the list.

Batman was met by Fate after you left.

Fate: What have you done?

Batman: Shown his weakness, he will learn. He can't fight alone.

Fate: He won't. His Fate is to assemble a army of both darkness and light....

And he has just begun.
