Behind Enemy Lines: Part 3
X must face the powerful Livewire, who is under the control of Luthor.

As Luthor wanted to keep his weapon experiments hidden, the way to the basement was filled with security measures, all that you passed with Mercy's ID, which you took from her dress after your "encounter".

You felt bad for leaving Mercy alone after having such a intimate encounter, but had to focus on the mission, you thought that after the mission was finished, you could take her out to dinner to make up for leaving her.

You reached the final security measure leading to the basement, a set of large metal doors with a ID reader.

You scanned Mercy's ID.

System: Welcome Mrs. Graves.

The massive doors opened, revealing Luthor's weapon cache.

Everything from high tech tanks to state of the art mech suits filled the room.

You noted that most of the weapons didn't seem legal to manufacture, but didn't think of Luthor as a law abiding citizen.

Once you reached the other end of the room, you found a glass door with "Zeus" written on it.

The door led to a high tech lab with a large tube filled with a dark blue liquid in the center.

X: Batman come in.

Batman: Find it?

X: Yeah, but I don't know what "it" is.

Batman: Look around for research papers, that should shed light on what you found.

You began to dig through piles of papers, finally finding a set of patient performance records.

You examined the first paper.

Dr. Lee: Subject retains rebellious behavior, and refuses to enter the stasis chamber for testing. Has sent multiple guards to the ER with electrical burns.

You examined the second paper.

Dr. Lee: Subject's mental suggestion implant was immediately destroyed on impact with her skin. Need to find a way to subdue her electric field.

You examined the third paper.

Dr. Lee: With the implication of the electro magnetic chassis, the subject's electrical field has been subdued, but mental suggestion still fails.

You examined the fourth paper.

Dr. Lee: With the use of a modified mental suggestion implant, the subject is now slowly becoming more obedient, but with one minor drawback: the implant is vulnerable to low temperatures.

You read the fifth and final paper.

Dr. Lee: The subject has become aggressive with the use of the implant, causing her to be placed in the stasis chamber until a way to calm her can be found. Subject is not to be taken out of the stasis chamber under any circumstances.

X: What is in the chamber?

Batman: From the info on the papers, some kind of meta human with electrical powers.

X: oh, I get it. Zeus and electricity, get it?

Batman: Yes, it's clever.

X: Anyway, what should I do?

Batman: Open the chamber.

X: You do understand the definition of "aggressive" right?

Batman: Yes, but it's a risk we need to take to stop Luthor.

X: (Sigh) Fine.

You entered the computer commands to open the stasis chamber, from which a beautiful, pale maiden with blue hair fell out.

You rushed to the woman, fearing that by opening the chamber you may have harmed her.

X: Miss? Miss can you hear me? I'm not going to hurt you, I'm here to help you.

The woman opened her eyes, which were a deep blue that gazed into your soul.

Woman: G-G....

X: What?

Livewire: Get your hands off me you perv!

Livewire sent you through the roof and into the building lobby above.

X: (cough) What did I do?

Livewire jumped into the lobby, putting a foot on your chest.

Livewire: Typical guy! Sees a vulnerable girl and instead of helping her, he feels her up!

Livewire threw you through the labs, and you landed in the cryogenic lab.

Livewire walked towards you with a enraged look.

X: This is a huge misunderstanding! Please listen to me!

Livewire: I don't care what your perv ass has to say! You're dead!

You crawled into a cryo chamber to try and evade Livewire.

X: Wait, the implant is making her crazy! And it's vulnerable to the cold!

When Livewire entered the cryo chamber, you used a blast of energy to hit the door controls, causing the door to close and trap you both inside.

As cold air filled the room, Livewire's implant began to spark, and caused her to grab at it.

Livewire: Ah! Shit! It hurts!

You jumped at Livewire, reaching for the implant.

X: Hold still! I'm trying to help you!

You got a hold on the implant, and destroyed it with energy from your hand.

Livewire blasted you away with a bolt of electricity.

Livewire: (pant, pant) what happened? Where am I?

X: Long story, but I'm with the Justice League and-

Livewire: The League? Back off hero!

Livewire quickly blasted the door open, and disappeared in the ensuing smoke.

Batman: X? Are you ok?

X: I can't feel my arm, but besides that I'm fine.

Batman: Good, I got a connection to the Zeus Program computers while you were examining the papers, we have Fredrick's connection with Luthor.

X: Great, I'm on my way back to the Watchtower.

You used the chaos caused by your battle with Livewire to escape undetected.
