The Meaning of Fear: Part 1 X is called upon by Robin to investigate the mysterious monster that is driving Gotham's homeless mad.

You arrived in Gotham under the cover of darkness, and blended into the homeless populace of the Slums.
You waited for Batman's associate in a dimly lit alley.
Robin: You X? You don't look like much.
You turned to see a man in a red chested suit adorned with a Hood and mask.
X: Yeah, nice to meet you too.
Robin: Did Bruce fill you in on the situation?
X: Nope
Robin: (Sigh) Look over there.
You saw a police officer taking a frantic homeless man into his cruiser.
Homeless Man: He's real! The Beast is real! I saw him on the sewers! The sewers!
X: The Beast?
Robin: It's a Gotham urban legend, a monster made of pure shadow that takes people while they sleep. When they return, they are irreversibly insane.
X: Someone is trying to bring the legend to life.
Robin: Yeah, and our only lead is a abandoned sewage treatment plant.
X: Ok, I got to grab some gear from a friend, go ahead and I will catch up.
Robin: Whatever, just don't take long.
You left the Slums.
Timeskip, Roman's Italian Suits, Gotham
Sylvia: I figured you would be back soon.
X: Hey Sylvia, I need something with low light capabilities.
Sylvia: I have just the thing.
Sylvia went and grabbed a pair of glasses

Sylvia traced her finger on your chest.

You left Roman's shop, feeling somewhat awkward.
When you entered the sewage treatment plant, Robin was nowhere to be seen.
You put on the night vision glasses and went deep into the sewers.
The sewers were pitch dark, with no light whatsoever, you felt lucky to have Sylvia as a friend.
As you explored the forbidding sewers, you saw a light at the end of the sewer tunnel you were traveling through.
When you got closer to the light, you discovered that the light was coming from a water pump station.
You hid in the shadows, fearing a unseen threat, as you scanned the station.
As you scanned the room, you saw Robin tied to a pipe, and quickly ran over to save him.
X: Robin! Robin who did this to you!?
You felt something hit you on the back of your head, and you fell to the ground.
A figure in a worn coat stood over you, his face hidden in shadows
Figure: Well, the legendary X, I wonder....
