The city is really busy today. Everywhere you look there’s something going on. People are in every corner. Laughter, music, vehicles and buzzing noise of people having conversations at the same time are all mixed up. In the park many lay on the grass letting the sunshine embrace them. Almost everyone are wearing shorts, sandals or flip flops, and sleeveless tops. The reason why the city is so busy is because this week is the Gothenburg cultural festival. Lot’s of things going on in the city. Mini shops are everywhere. There are even free concerts open for everyone. Beside the old theater there’s a stage. It’s not normally there. It’s just there for this week. On that stage a boy is being interviewed by an old man. The boy’s cheeks turn to red as the sun shines directly on his face. What he’s wearing didn’t make it any cooling for himself either. He is wearing a checkered green long-sleeved shirt. It’s rolled up a bit but I don’t think it helps. He’s wearing a hat too. A knitted one.
”It’s really hot!” the boy said.
”Why are you wearing that hat? It’s summer!” the old man asked.
”It’s kind of my trademark.”
”Well then stop complaining. It’s your fault.” the old man joked but saying the truth at the same time.
Yes the boy is Ulrik. From the moment he step into that stage he kept on looking in the crowd. He’s hoping to see Sophie there. But the performance ended without any sign of her.
Across the street where Ulrik is, there’s a park. Somewhere in there a crowd gathers around. Three girls are their center of attention. They’re all wearing kind of the same outfit. Jean shorts, hightop shoes and big t-shirt which they cut and tied to turn into cool tops. One of the girl has her long black hair tied up into two high ponytails. The other girl has her blond hair on one pigtail. The third girl has her light brown wavy hair tied up into a high ponytail. They take their starting positions and as the music starts everyone in the crowd are cheering. Every turn and every step a big smile is on the three girls’ faces. The music comes to an end and the three girls strike their ending poses. The crowd cheers and applauses.
”It was so much fun!” the light browned hair girl said.
The blonde girl agrees ”I know! But I messed up the part where...”
”Oh Anya! No one noticed it anyways.” the other girl interrupted.
”Hi I’m miss Sophie! I dance perfectly every time.” Anya mimics her friend with a funny voice.
Anya and Sophie laughs until they notice their friend Ella is just unusually quiet.
”Hey are you okay?”Anya went to Ella’s right and Sophie to the left having Ella in their middle.
”Yeah...I’m just..” Ella said while looking all sad down to to the grass.
”Just what?”
”Really hungry!” she chuckled.
The two playfully hit their friend and laugh.
They pick up their cd player and go out of the park.
Meanwhile Ulrik is on his way out of the stage. He was happy about his performance but he’s also disappointed. He didn’t see Sophie and getting an answer to the mystery just have to wait.
