"And done!" I finished and stepped back clapping my hands together.
"Aw Gin it's beautiful" Steph grabbed her shoulders. A big poster with all of us together was the last we had hung from the photo shoot. They were all over town and already bringing customers in.
"Oh Ginny let's get your picture by it" I moved her next to the poster that sat on the window of her building. I quickly took the photo and smiled.
"You look absolutely amazing Gin" I hugged her as her smile wouldn't leave her face.
"Okay well I better get back to being the boss. I'll see you at dinner" she said before walking back in with Steph. Ginny said that if I kept coming up with more ideas to bring business I didn't have to bus tables or serve. I looked to the weather and smiled. We had been lucky to be blessed with nice days almost all week. That rarely ever happens. I walked towards the outside of town and was just passing the museum when I saw a paper stand.
'Bunny gone A-Wall. No one knows where she is'
I quickly grabbed the thinned paper book and I flipped to the page of the article.
Bunny Jenkins our favorite model is missing. Her guardian Dale Jenkins says he woke up and she was gone. Her car was gone and things from her room missing. An obvious runaway case. He says that he is taking a break from his other clients and going to find his precious number 1 model. We all know our beloved Bunny from the first day she stepped into modeling world and changed the face of everything. From an adorable 13 year old to sexy 20 year old we have all come to know and love our Bunny. Bunny if your reading this now please know we love you and we want your hopping feet back into our lives.
I looked to all the clippings and pictures of me. There was me with my curly locks at 13 in flimsy spring dresses to lingerie mirror reflections. I looked and felt so different in those pictures than I did now. I looked to the man who read a newspaper bored at the cart. He had at least 20 copies just sitting out.
"Oh my God" my hand reached for my mouth. Tears flowed down my face. I just wanted to be somewhere for once somebody didn't know my secret. My whole life I've been used and sexualized and just looked at and here everyone looked at me as if I was a normal girl who grew up with a family and didn't have a job until 16.
"Here" I threw money onto the stand as I ran up the street. The magazine was clutched to my chest still as I reached the small house. I slammed my knuckles against the screen door as desperate cries for help.
"Hey hey what's wrong?" the door flung open and the tall woman grabbed my arms to calm me down.
"Thi-this" I shoved the stupid book towards her. She looked at the front cover that had a picture of me with the fitting red dress.
"Calm down and let's talk" she pulled me into the room and sat me on the couch.
"Talk to me honey. Why is this upsetting you?" she ran a hand through her blonde curls and I sighed.
