Sherlock and John

Sherlock didn't hesitate. He started towards the door to grab his coat. "Pardon me, everyone, this intriguing development will have to wait. We have been summoned to help with finding our daughter."

John followed close behind him. "With the real police."

Mrs. Hudson sighed and threw her hands in the air. "What am I supposed to do with all these people?!"

"Whatever you do, don't let them leave. I am not done with them." Called up Sherlock, he and his partner left 221B and hailed a cab. They got in and asked the driver to go as fast as she could.

"Sherlock, you have to promise me that whatever happens you won't let your emotions get in the way." John whispered to him. Sherlock simply rolled his eyes.

"John , I am a high functioning sociopath. We never do." He tried to sound reassuring, but he knew that John could hear the worry in his voice. If what they found was bad enough to call them in, than it was very bad.

He kept going through the same thought process he had been through for the three days Rosy had been gone. 'How could I have not seen this coming? I am a terrible parent. I have let Rosamund down. I have let John down. Why does he trust me with his kid? I was never good with her. I could never keep up with John let alone her. She probably hates me.'

John looked at his lover and saw that look on his face when he was blaming himself. He rested his hand on Sherlock's to break him out of the trance. It always worked. Sherlock blinked and looked at John, fear in his eyes, but John simply laid his head on Sherlock's shoulder.

Soon, they arrived at Scotland Yard where they saw an old, navy blue police box behind a bush. "Hey, Sherlock, was that there last time?" John asked as they got out of the cab.

"No, but that will have to wait." Sherlock replied, not even looking at the phone box. He went straight in with a quick pace. The two of them went to the area of Lestrade's department. As they walked to his office they noticed everyone was a little more panicked than normal. They arrived at Greg's office where they saw Greg, Donovan, and the man with spiked hair and glasses, and the blonde girl hunched over a computer. The spiked haired man was pointing what looked like a glowing pen the screen.

"How did you two get here before us?!" John yelled. Everyone in the room looked toward him.

"Oh good, you are here." said Greg. He motioned for them to come over. "The Doctor, here, is trying to track the signal down, it is on every screen in our division."

"I have almost got it." said the spiked haired man, or the Doctor. John and Sherlock walked over to see what they were looking at and what they saw was terrifying.

It was a photo of their daughter being held at gun point with words across the photo: "DO YOU MISS HER?"

The phrase rang a bell in the back of John's mind. It was like a catchphrase he didn't remember where he heard it from. Then it hit him. "Moriarty."

The girl's brow wrinkled. "Who?" she asked.

"How do you live in London and not know who Moriarty is?" Donovan asked her.

"We have been away on a trip for a while. A retreat sort of thing. Why don't you catch us up?" The Doctor asked, still tracking the signal.

"It doesn't matter." Sherlock said. His voice was ice cold, like he would kill anyone who even breathed on him. "Doctor, a word." Sherlock stormed out of the room.

"But I don't have all the signals yet." the Doctor protested, but he got up anyway and followed. Next followed John then Rose. They went to an interrogation room. Sherlock turned off the camera and turned to the two mysterious strangers.
