When you were looking through my phone,
You saw the many pictures I had taken of the sky,
And you had said "Why do you take pictures of something you see everyday?"
And you had found it so weird that I took up space on my phone for something so unremarkable.
I simply replied with the shrug of my shoulders,
Now questioning myself.
I soon stopped taking photos of not only the sky and the clouds but taking pictures at all.
Finding it ludicrous that I had once held so many different pictures of something so ordinary.
Wanting to have your acceptance, I deleted almost all photos I had ever taken,
Not only the ones of the sky but everything else I loved to capture.
Thinking my pictures were unworthy of being kept, and I'll admit they weren't the best,
I still look back and regret ever letting you get to me, because I tried to change myself to fit you, but, in the end, I wasn't happy.
And, I guess, I'm glad we don't talk anymore ...
