Dinner

Winter's Point of View
Dinner. A feast filled with food,chatter and laughter. Though sometimes,it is filled with awkwardness,suspicion and silence. As it is now.

The other campers started whispering the moment I sat down at the Poseidon table. 'Who's she?' 'What's she doing here?' 'Does Annabeth know?'

They must have told her,since she came stomping a few seconds later. "Seaweed Brain! What is the meaning of this? Who is she?!!"

Before Percy could open his mouth though,I answered for him. "You must be Annabeth," I ushered. "Percy told me so much about you. I'm Winter Rose by the way. Percy's sister." as I finished,I thought I could fit several pieces of ambrosia in Annabeth's mouth.

I continued eating like it was a normal thing. "Poseidon had another child?" Annabeth asked, bewildered. I sighed. Typical. "I'm the same age as you,"I said pointedly.

That shut her up.

As it was time for the campfire,I hoped Father wouldn't make a scene. But of course he did. Everyone was soon gaping above my head. I looked up.

Positioned there,was a sea-blue-green trident,the symbol and weapon of Poseidon. Huh.

"All hail Winter Rose,daughter of Poseidon,Earthshaker,storm-bringer,lord of the sea and horses,"came Chiron's voice somewhere in the busy crowd. Everyone startled kneeling,and I finally saw Chiron standing tall among the campers.

Beside him,Mr. D, a greatly disliked God. I thought he was cool. Heck,I thought grapes were Cool. Scratch that,they are cool. Always will be.

I managed to keep my dignity by walking straight to Cabin Three,not bothering to answer the questions of other campers. I liked creating a cold,mysterious aura.
