It had been a week since the Argo III had set off for Greece. They hadn't come across many monsters, though occasionally,a few wind spirits would get drunk and challenge them. Jason took good care of them.

The boom of lightning had woken Winter up from her nightmare, and she found that she could not sleep. Instead, she looked at her wristwatch. 4:32. Winter had found it hard to sleep ever since she got on the Argo III. She would wake up suddenly, and would be unable to sleep.

Winter walked barefoot towards the kitchen. Carefully pouring hot water into a mug,she hummed to herself. Hopefully, those Venties had gotten home. Other than her hanging out with Nico, things were getting quite boring.

Prophecy. She thought. Shut up,you stupid subconscious,Winter growled silently to herself. Apparently, Zeus was very pissed at them. They had to make an emergency docking in the UK because of him.

This was how it happened. It was a bad day for Zeus and Poseidon, probably about their children. The sky and the sea were at war,and Zeus accidentally (yeah, right) struck their ship with lightning. His actions had resulted in their electrical circuits being fried.

When they had docked safely,Winter quickly went to the repair room and started changing the wires. Leo appeared a few minutes later, with a ball of fire in hand, and they worked in silence. Winter got electrified a few times, which hurt like Hades.

So that was how they ended up in London. Today,Annabeth had planned that they headed around town,to 'let loose.' Basically,it meant Winter and Leo stop working and go have fun. Apparently,Annabeth,Hazel and Piper were playing matchmaker.

Judging by the dark clouds that hung low from the sky, today was going to be a rainy day. Winter took a shower, wore an oversized sweater and jeans, and tied her hair in a ponytail. She sighed.

She went out of her room. The others were already at the table, eating pancakes (courtesy of Winter). Percy was trying to convince Annabeth that blue pancakes were good. Sadly, his innocence of the medical world is hilarious.

"Hey,Perce!" Winter called. "Morning sis," he replied. "Why why why are you eating regular pancakes? Don't you like blue?" Winter asked mockingly.

Percy's eyes lit up. "Blue?" He questioned. But Winter was already lighting up the pan.

A few minutes later, she came back with two plates of blue pancakes. Percy clapped his hands in joy. "Yay," he said childishly. Truth be told, they would probably cherish this breakfast forever.

These were one of those demigod breakfasts that actually felt like home. Like they weren't in danger or could die at any moment. Winter would cook like their mom,and Annabeth would nag them about etiquette. It was nice.

"Alright then," Annabeth said suddenly. "I'm going to the Big Ben with Percy. Jason and Piper are going to canoe in the river and Hazel and Frank –" "Are going to explore the zoo. We'll meet back here some time in the evening," Frank finished for her.

"Sooooo," Piper said slowly to Leo and Winter (who were sitting next to each other). "Where are you two going?" Winter shrugged. "We're going to the mechanical appliances shop. You know, for the wires." Hazel crossed her arms over her chest and glared at Leo.

"We agreed on no stress. You're supposed to have fun," she huffed. "We could walk around the shops," Leo suggested. Annabeth nodded in approval in the background. "Hey Niks, want to come with us?" Winter asked Nico.

Nico shook his head. "No thanks. I'll just stay here." Winter huffed in frustration. "Fine," they heard her mutter.

The Latino boy took his companion around the streets of London, occasionally hearing familiar voices. "Hey Leo?" Winter asked. "Yeah?" "There's a bookstore not far from here. Can we go there?" Leo shrugged. "Okay. How do you know it's there?" Winter hesitated.

One.

Two.

Three.

"Ivebeenherebefore,"she said quickly. Before he could ask her again, she took off, leaving him a hot trail to follow. It was an adorable sight to see, actually.

Suddenly,Winter skidded to a halt, making Leo bump into her. "We're here," she announced. "Excuse me?" Leo asked. "We're here. The bookstore. Now come on." She took him by the hand, laced her fingers with his,and stepped into the magical dimension we call a 'bookstore'.

With their hands still entwined,Winter lead them to the very corner of the store. A sign above the shelf was labeled 'card games'. Winter shuffled through a few boxes, before choosing two. "Um,do you have any pounds?" Leo asked. "I'm sure I have a few somewhere," she replied.

After rummaging through her navy satchel, she took out a few notes. "This should be enough," she decided.

As they queued,Leo caught a pair of golden eyes staring at him from behind a bookshelf. "Sorry,Winter,um,I think I saw a nice book. I'm going to check it out," he said, before dashing towards the bookshelf. "Frank,I think Leo saw us. We have to go–" "Hello,Hazel. Frank." Leo's voice laced through their conversation like acid.

"Umm,"Frank said, before grabbing Hazel's hand before running towards the exit. Leo chuckled to himself. Classic Frank.

Leo found the white haired teenager outside the shop, looking in all directions. "Looking for me?" Leo called. Winter turned around..... and hugged him. "Gods,Leo! I thought you got lost or something," she said, before stepping on his foot.

"Don't ever do that again!" Leo's attempts at calming her down obviously failed,so he kissed her. On the cheek. "O  beautiful Winter Rose,I am very, very sorry for frightening me lady, and hopes she has it in her heart to forgive him," he said dramatically.

Winter rolled her eyes. "Apology accepted." They then, hand in hand, walked towards the park, watching kids chase each other. Everything was peaceful.

"Win. Winter. Winter, wake up," Leo said, nudging Winter in the head. The girl had rested her head on his shoulder, before promptly going to sleep. "Winter," he said a little louder. Winter jerked awake with a jump. "What time is it?",she asked. "It's pretty late in the evening. We should head back," Leo said softly.

"No," Winter said indignantly. "London's absolutely beautiful at night. Come on. The streets are less crowded anyway." She gestured her hand at Leo,seeing if he agreed with her idea. But,after a while, she dropped her hand to her side.

That was when Leo stood up and grabbed her hand. "I think it's a perfect idea."

They went all over London. Leo bought them ice cream(after going to the money changer's),they went canoeing down the river, and visited shops. Finally,it was time for them to go back.

They were quite worried, actually. They were late, very late, and Percy would probably be mad.
