Lazy Day (Jackson WhittemorexReader)

I was sitting in my surfing the net when my phone first started ringing. Who could be calling at 9 in the morning, on a Sunday? I answer my phone without looking at the caller ID.

"You're speaking to the one and only Goddess of all mankind. How may I assist you today?"

"Goddess of all mankind? Are you serious?" "Jax? You're the idiot that makes calls at nine on a Sunday morning?" "Well I didn't have anything planned after my morning run so I thought 'what better way to spend a Sunday morning than by bothering my fellow beta?' So here I am." "What if I wasn't awake?" "I would've called nonstop to wake you up." "Alright. I'll be over in 10." "See you soon." I hung up the phone. I changes into some joggers and a long sleeve shirt. My hair was in a messy bun. I slipped my shoes on and grabbed my keys before heading over to Jax's house. It wasn't that far of a run, plus the weather was perfect for a jog.

I showed up at his house in with three minutes remaining. The was unlocked so I walked right in and went to the kitchen first. I heard Jax coming down the stairs. I went to the fridge and got a bottle of water when I felt his arms slip around my waist.

"Took you long enough." he said as he nuzzled my neck.

"I got here in seven minutes." "Seven minutes too long." I turned to look at him. "Your just impatient." I give him a light kiss before running away from him. I hear a growl come from behind me, I'm so close. Oomph. Luckily we lad on a pile of blankets... on the floor?

"Why are there blankets on the floor?" Jax pulls away and looks at me. "Well I thought we could have a movie marathon of your choosing." I smile at him and pull him into a bear hug.

"You're the best Jax." "I know." I slap his shoulder lightly and then walk over to the shelf of movies. I pick The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

"Looks like we're having a Hobbit and Lord of the Rings marathon." I look over to see Jax joining into the kitchen.. "You're damn right we are. You need any help in there?" "No I got it." I hear a crash come from the the kitchen. "Yea right." I mumble, knowing he could still hear me. I get up and go to help him bring in the snacks.

I walk in and see popcorn all over the floor and Jax already cleaning it up. "You could've just asked for my help you know?" He looks up at me before mumbling. "I'm sorry what was that?" "I wanted to bring it all in for you. I set this up for you to show you I can care for you." I looked at him with a confused expression.

He sighed. "I-I wanted to show that I'm a worthy mate for you." I just stare at him, taking in the light pink tip of his ears.

I walk up to him and place my hand on either side of his face and kiss him. He freezes for a minute before kissing back. Once we break apart for air, I caress his face.

"Jax you don't have to do that for me. I know you'd do anything and everything to take care of me. I love you Jax. You are mine and I am yours. And if we die we die but first we'll live."

He smiles and then looks at me with narrowed eyes. "Did you just quote Game of Thrones?" "Yes I did. Okay let's get this all in the living room so we can start the movie already." I grab the other bowl of popcorn and one filled with- GUMMIES!! I race to the room with Jax trailing behind with the drinks.

We put everything down before snuggling together. We spend most of the day like that. Only getting up for our intermissions.

During The Two Towers I start drifting off. Jax pulls me closer and whispers "You are mine and I am yours. And if we die we die but first we'll live." I enter my dreamless state with a smile on my face. I'll tease him about it in the morning.
