Malory woke up to the feeling of something gripping her waist very tightly. She slowly turned around to see what was holding her. When she turned around she was surprised to see it was Kyle holding her. The last few hours had been a blur. All she remembered was kissing him, then him carrying her up the stairs to her room. She remembered falling asleep then nothing.

"Mmmh." Kyle made a sleepy noise and stered on the bed.

She slowly pulled Kyle's arm off her and got out of the bed trying not to disturb him. She walked over to the door and grabbed her cloak. She figured it would be colder than it was earlier. She grabbed the handle of the door as she was putting her cloak over her shoulders. She cracked the door to see if anyone was out in the hall and then slipped out the door. Silently closing the door she crept down the hall. She figured since she was up, she wouldn't be able to fall asleep again for a while and she didn't have the courage to face Kyle if he woke up while she was awake, she would go and check out the village Larain had spoke of.

She stepped out into the night and headed towards the lights of the town in front of her. Walking slowly down the dirt path that lead down the hill she got the sickening feeling the someone was watching her. She glanced back towards the house and saw the light on in her room. A person's silhouette was in her window. She knew it was Kyle and he watched her so she would stop. Two seconds after she looked at him he disappeared from the window. To get his cloak no doubt. As she waited she looked around. Well so much for avoiding him. She thought as she watched the window.

The light went out and the front door opened. He walked slowly and hesitantly towards her. Well atleast he feels awkward too. Malory thought as he joined her and she started down the hill again.

"So where are we going?" Kyle asked.

"The village, why?" Malory said more sharply than she had planned.

"Well I was just wondering." Kyle said looking down at his feet almost as if he was ashamed.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you." Malory said stopping and grabbing Kyle tight in a hug she was sure they both needed.

"It's ok." Kyle said grabbing her shoulders to pull her closer to him. He was a hand taller than her so it was as if he was the one who was giving her the hug.

Releasing Kyle from her almost death grip hug she looked into his eyes. He looked ok but she knew behind that wall of happiness there was sadness. You could barely see it but she new it was there.

"What's wrong?" Malory asked digging deeper into those eyes to try and see what was bothering him.

"Well... It's nothing I guess." He said tearing his eyes away from her's and looking off towards the village.

"No something is wrong. Please tell me." Malory said gently turning his head towards her. "What is it?"

"It's I... I really do love you. You know that right?" He said resting his hands on her shoulders.

"Yes. I love you too, but what's wrong?" She said grabbing his hands off her shoulders and holding them out in front of her.

"Well I really love you and... Well you need to know that I was brought into this family because my real family needs me to marry you." He said looking away and forcing her to let go of his hands.

He had put a wall between them and she didn't like it. "Kyle why should that matter? We both have gone through so much these last few days, and I love you. So why should it matter if we were destined to be married. We love each other so it all works out anyway." Malory said pulling him back into a hug.
