Crawling thru the window Hanar sat down in a chair right next to Malory's bed. She was sleeping and he just wanted to look at her. To see how big his little girl had grown in the past few years. She was so old now, how was she going to understand that he had not abandoned them. He had to go.
"You'll never understand will you?" He said thinking out loud as she stirred on the bed. "Of course not. You're my daughter. Aren't you?"
Turning around he realised he was not the only one wanting to see her. As he had spoke Manrdrine had slipped into the room threw the door and had a sword drawn and ready to fight. He looked him up and down assessing him. His stance was firm, just like he had been taught, and his intentions clear in his eyes. He had no idea who he was. It's probably good. A voice in his head taunted him. You did abandon them.
He pushed the voice to the side for the moment to focus on the problem at hand. He could ether let him kill him, jump out the window, or he could kill him. The last one was obviously not an option, so it was either flee or die. Turning to the window he barely dodged the blade heading straight for his chest. In his haste to get out he lost his face cover and had to resort to hiding his face with his hands. Eventually he got out, but not before the ruckus brought Sarantles into the room. Sword drawn and ready to fight when his saw him he knew exactly who he was, even though he was covering his face, he knew he knew.
****Malory's room****
"What exactly was it you did to make her fall asleep? What was it I did?" Manrdrine said for the third time as he paced the length of the living room. "What the hell is going on? With me! Ha? What the hell is this." He said stopping to slam his hands down onto the table.
"Like I have explained twice already, You have powers just like your sister, and just like me. Its very simple actually. It'll just take a moment to wrap your head around it." Casinara said simply, folding her hands into her lap.
"Yeah it's just that simple isn't it. I just can't understand because i'm just a boy right? Huh? Tell me!" He said yelling into her face.
Never once did her cool calm waver all she said was, "There is too much to explain at the moment you will have to come with me to train with the Marleganin and then you may know the answer to those questions." She said looking right back into his eyes calmly.
"Well i'm not going anywer--" He was cut off abruptly and looked up at the sealing were Malory's room was just above. "Someone's in Malory's room." He said suddenly sprinting for the stairs.
Quietly he slipped into Malory's room. And caught the end of the, man he presumed, talking.
"... daughter. Aren't you?" At that he drew his sword and took a swing as the man realised he was there and tried to flee. He almost got him but he jumped out of the way just in time. They struggled for a moment when he dropped his sword. The clater brought Sarantles crashing into the room but by the time he got there the man had slipped out threw the window and into the night. Looking around Manrdrine found a facemask and that was all the culprit had left behind. Checking to make sure malory was alright He decided to stay with her for the rest of the night, He didn't want anything like that happening again. Malory had already had enough excitement for one day.
"It's kind of funny that she didn't wake up threw that entire thing. Don't you think?" Manrdrine said sitting down next to her on the bed.
"Just what part of this is supposed to be funny?" Sarantles said gazing out the window.
"Oh well, I just ment--"
"I know what you meant by it 'boy'... Don't let it happen again. Ok." He said cutting him off, and putting a lot of emphasis on 'boy'.
