24. Relief

Waking up to see his father and Harry's  friends' smiling faces in the hospital, was something, Zayn never expected. Not when he didn't know where Harry was or if he and the babies were okay. He looked around himself and found he was in a hospital bed.

"Son, you woke up? Thank God.", Yaser said smiling.

"What I am doing in the hospital bed?", Zayn asked in a groggy voice. He heard some shuffling beside him and looked there to saw the guy, who's name he believed to be Liam, pouring some water in a glass. He came towards Zayn and lifted his head slightly to make him drink some water. He might have sensed Zayn's need for water.

Zayn gave him a small smile as a thank you which he returned as a "you're welcome". He then walked back to the sofa where his other two friends were seated. Zayn looked back his father and asked, "So?"

His father cleared his throat before saying, "Uh, you fainted in the delivery room. The doctors found your phone in your pocket and called me. Then I called Liam, Louis and Niall to let them know about Harry. They came as soon as possible and I booked the next flight and here we are. "

"One minute, it took a long time to come to California from England. How long I had been out for?", Zayn asked, clearly confused.

"One whole day. The doctors say you had been dehydration and too much stress.", Yaser said and Zayn's jaw dropped.

"What? One whole day?", Zayn aske, surprised and Yaser nodded. He then remembered everything happened in the delivery room and he instantly became nervous.

"Wh-where is Ha-Harry? And m-my ba-babies?", Zayn asked, his hands shaking.

Louis got up from the couch and came towards Zayn. He sat on it and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Harry is okay. He's unconscious but doctors said, he is okay. They said if it wasn't for you to bring him to the hospital that soon, he'd not be surviving. Thank you so much Zayn.", Louis said now side hugging Zayn.

"He's okay.", Zayn said, now in small whisper. "Yes", Louis whispered.

And Zayn silently thanked the God.

"And what about my ba-babies?", Zayn asked.

"They are okay. They're prematured babies, and underweight. So they are currently in neonatal care unit. Doctors said, we can take them home at the end of this week.", Niall said from the couch, sadly.

Zayn nodded, but he was confused, why he was sad. He saw Liam side hugging him, and it looked like, he was comforting him.

"Zayn, Yaser told us everything.", Louis said making Zayn look at him.

"Please don't hurt him again, yeah?", Louis asked in a whisper so that only Zayn could hear him.

"I-I won't promise.", Zayn whispered. Louis smiled, when he felt the sincerity in Zayn's voice and patted his shoulder. He then walked back to where his best friend and boyfriend was and sat beside Niall, so Niall was now seated between Liam and Lilo. They both hugged him from the side. Zayn smiled at them then looked up at his father.

"C-Can I see him?", he asked.

"You can. But he's unconscious. He hasn't woke up for once til now.", Yaser said, now looking sadly at his son.

Zayn nodded. Yaser then left the room to call the doctors. After sometimes they came and detached the IV from Zayn's body.

Yaser and the lads then led him to Harry's room. Yaser patted his back and said, he and the lads will be in the cafeteria. He asked him what he'd like to have but Zayn shook his head, not wanting to eat anything. But after many insists from Yaser, he finally agreed on a burger and a coffee. Smiling, Yaser left him along with the lads but not before giving him a best of luck hug. He smiled and thank them all then left him at the doorstep of Harry's room.

Taking a deep breath, Zayn opened the door and walked in.

He knew Harry had forgiven him, but he was yet to ask for his forgiveness and he would. He had to let him know how much he loved him.
