All I know is I'm not home yet; this is not where I belong. Take this world and give me Jesus, this is not where I belong.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Mandy looked at the directions she had printed off the internet. "Stay on this road for point two miles, then turn right on West Boulevard." She instructed Caleb, who was driving the car they had rented.
Caleb nodded, his eyes focused on the road. "Are we going to make it in time?" He asked as he turned right.
"Stay on this road for three miles." Mandy instructed, then looked at the directions. "We will probably be a couple minutes late." She replied.
"That's not bad for the plane being delayed an hour." Caleb responded.
Mandy shrugged. "No, but we aren't able to check out the surrounding area yet."
"We'll have time after the appointment." He assured her.
A half-hour later, Caleb pulled into the parking lot of an inn.
Mandy peered at the building. "It doesn't even look closed." She commented.
Caleb nodded in agreement as he parked the car in a spot by the front entrance.
Mandy opened her door and got out of the car, afraid she was going to pass out. Was she really doing this?
Caleb took her hand, and they walked into the front door.
A lady smiled at them. "Mr and Mrs Evans?" She asked.
Mandy nodded. "I'm Mandy, and this is my brother Caleb." She introduced.
"It's great to meet you both! My name is Melody." She replied, then turned to look around the lobby. "This place is really amazing, it just closed less than a month ago."
"Why did it close?" Mandy asked as she ran her hand over the dated border on the green wall.
Melody smiled sadly. "The owner passed. None of her grandchildren were interested, so they decided to put it up for sale."
Caleb nodded. "That's too bad, but it makes sense. The place seems to be in good shape."
Melody opened the folder she was holding and passed him a couple sheets of paper, stapled together at the corner. "It is in good shape. Those are the papers we got after the inspection." She explained.
Mandy moved beside her brother so she could look at the papers. "Why hasn't the place sold yet?" She asked Melody.
Melody sighed. "There are a couple of reasons. One of them, the big one, being that the place isn't furnished. Another problem people have had with the place is there isn't any house for the owners to stay in, or land to build one on."
Mandy frowned. "Certainly they could just stay in one of the rooms."
Melody shrugged. "People are particular sometimes." She replied. "Now, let me show you the rooms."
