"Daddy!!!" Amilee whisper-screamed as she ran into the kitchen the next morning.

Caleb picked her up and spun her around. "I missed you."

Amilee grinned as he set her down. "I missed you too. Is Mommy home?"

"Yes, but she's still sleeping." Caleb replied.

Amilee picked up her plastic stool and set it down beside the counter Caleb was working at. "What are you doing?" She asked as she climbed up onto the stool.

Caleb grinned. "I'm making breakfast for everyone. I need a helper though."

Amilee raised her hand. "I'll help! Pick me!" She said, jumping up and down on the stool.

"Are you sure you can handle it? I was taking about just asking Misty." He teased.

Amilee laughed. "Doggies can't help cook. Besides, Mrs. Smith wouldn't let Misty come over." She informed him.

Caleb sighed. "Well, I suppose you can help me then."

"Yay!" Amilee said quietly.

Caleb chuckled.

"Don't laugh, that's loud. You might wake up Mommy and Ethan and Samantha." Amilee scolded him.

Caleb nodded, then pulled a carton of eggs out of the fridge.

Amilee watched him carefully. "Daddy?" She asked softly.

Caleb turned around and looked at her. "Yes?" He asked, setting the eggs on the counter.

"Are we really gonna...gonna...leave?" She asked.

"Move?" Caleb sighed as he walked over to her. "Ami."

Amilee wrapped her arms around his waist. "Why?" She asked quietly.

Caleb hugged her. "Amilee, you know how most mommys and daddys have jobs?"

Amilee nodded. "Yeah. Krista's mommy teaches her school class. She told me at Sunday school."

Caleb knelt down so he was on the same level as the girl. "Well, Mommy and I are going to have a new job, and it isn't here."

Amilee looked curious. "What job?" She asked.

Caleb stood up. "That's something Mommy and I will discuss with you after Samantha leaves."

Amilee looked like she might argue, but gave up at the last moment. "What are we making for breakfast?" She asked instead.

Caleb grinned. "You're going to have to guess." He replied, then grabbed a couple bananas from the bowl on the counter.

"Ooo!" Amilee whispered excitedly. "Banana pancakes!"

Caleb chuckled as he handed her three bananas.

Amilee set them beside the plate se had gotten out, and peeled them carefully before setting them on the plate. Then, she grabbed a fork and happily started mashing them.

Caleb cracked three eggs into a bowl, then put the rest back into the fridge. Next, he grabbed a frying pan out of the cupboard, and set it on the stove.

"I finished." Amilee told him, then used her fork to put the mashed banana's into the bowl with the eggs. After all the banana was in the bowl, she used the fork to mix the bananas and eggs together.

Caleb watched her mix them, then picked up the bowl and carried it over to the stove. He used a spoon to pour a small amount of batter into the greased frying pan, then grabbed his spatula.

"What can I do?" Amilee asked, again jumping up and down on her stool.

Caleb glanced over at her. "Who don't you set the table?" He suggested.

Amilee nodded and hurried to do what he asked.

For the foreseeable future, I will only be updating this book twice a week, because I have started writing another book, which will probably come out in early April, so keep watching for that one!
