<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Samantha's week with the family went by quickly, and all of them were upset when she had left that morning.
Mandy set the plate she was drying on the counter, then grabbed another. "When are we going to tell her?" She asked Caleb in a whisper.
Caleb glanced over to the table, where Amilee was pouting silently. "We are leaving tomorrow night Mandy, we should at least give her twenty-four hour notice."
Mandy watched her brother rinse off the bowl he had washed. "I know. It's just..." She trailed off. "She's already upset, and I don't want to make her mad at us."
Caleb nodded in agreement. "I know. Maybe it will be easier now. After all, Maine is a lot closer to Wisconsin then Arizona."
Shrugging, Mandy opened the cupboard and began to put the dried dishes away. "We don't have a choice, do we?" She asked eventually.
Caleb sighed. "Not really."
Mandy turned to look at the girl. "Hey Ami, where is Ethan?" She asked.
Amilee looked over towards direction of the living room. "He's playing with his toys." She informed Mandy.
Mandy nodded, then walked over and sat down across from her. "Sweetie, do you remember when Mommy and Daddy told you about moving?"
Amilee watched her mom suspiciously. "Yes..."
"Well, we are going to take a trip to Wisconsin tomorrow night." Mandy told her.
Amilee took a minute to process this new information. "We get there tomorrow night?"
"No, we are going to start driving tomorrow night." Caleb told her.
"Where are we going to sleep?" Amilee asked, looking quite alarmed.
"You and Ethan and I will sleep in the car while Daddy drives." Mandy reassured her.
"Do we have to put things in boxes?"
Mandy laughed. "Yes, tomorrow we will probably put some of our things into boxes to take along."
"Cool! I'm a go tell Ethan!" Amilee replied before running into thee living room.
Mandy looked at Caleb, who shrugged. "I think she'll be ok."
She smiled. "I guess she really doesn't mind."
Caleb nodded as he sat down next to his sister at the table. "We should probably get started packing our things when the kids go to bed tonight."
"Absolutely. Then we can pack the kids toys and clothes in the morning, and chill for awhile before we leave." Mandy agreed.
"Are we going to do it in a day?" Caleb asked her as he pulled out his phone.
"We may as well make it a two day trip, we can stop at like lunchtime on the second day, go to a park, stay at a hotel." Mandy reasoned as she looked at the map.
"Sounds good. After driving for that long a park would probably be a pretty good idea."
"Oh, we need to go grocery shopping tomorrow before we leave. I made a list of what we should take for the first week or so." Mandy told him.
"I'll add it to the list of things to do." Caleb said.
