Everlasting, your light will shine when all else fails.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Mandy hung up her cell phone, then flopped back onto one of the beds in the hotel room. "I'm incredibly bored." She announced.
Caleb didn't look away from the television. "We can get a pool and advertise no boredom at our inn." He replied.
Mandy shook her head. "Normal people are not bored, nor do they need the pool. We- I, must be the only one in town."
"I'm sure there is a teenager or two in this town that is as bored as you are." Caleb replied unsympathetically, his gaze still not leaving the tv.
Mandy sighed, then sat up and grabbed her laptop bag. "There are only two hotels in this town, so that's a good thing for the inn. Not to mention we would have the only non-smoking place."
She glared at Caleb's back when she realized he wasn't listening to anything she had said.
"No!" Caleb threw his hands up in the air. "An interception? Really? Can't you do better than that?" He yelled at the television.
"Caleb." Mandy warned.
He looked at her. "What?" He asked, annoyed.
"This is a hotel. Please don't yell." She reminded him.
Caleb shrugged and returned to watching the game.
Mandy pushed her hair behind her ear before turning back to her laptop. She typed 'tourist attractions near Ashvendale Wisconsin' into the search engine.
She scrolled through the results, then grabbed the folder from her laptop bag. She opened it and pulled the papers Melody had given them out.
An hour later, Caleb turned the television off and turned toward his sister. "What are you doing?" He asked.
Mandy looked at him, amused. "Now you care?"
Caleb glared at her. "It was a good game." He responded.
She shrugged and turned her laptop around so he could see the screen. "I read the inspections they had done. The place is in really good shape. Really, the only cost we will have will be the furniture, and if we are able to do something about that dreadful wallpaper."
Caleb nodded as he quickly read over the notes she had put together.
Mandy sighed as she set her notebook down on the bed. "There are so many unanswered questions."
"Then answer them." Caleb responded, his attention focused on the laptop screen.
Mandy took her laptop away from him. "Like, should we hire someone to take care of the walls or do it ourselves? When are we going to open this place? When are we going to move? Caleb, where are we going to live?"
Caleb sighed. "Mandy, we need to take time and answer each question one at a time."
Mandy nodded. "This is so hard." She whispered.
Caleb smiled sadly. "Why don't we sleep on it, and in the morning we can regroup and walk around town before our flight."
