chapter 14

Lara's POV

I was catching up with Jonah when i heard a knock at the door.

"Can you get that im just goin to get a drink"
"Yeah sure little bird"

I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a glass of milk when i heard Jonah yell.

"Lara some guy is here for you"
"Coming" i yelles back.

I walked into the lounge room and saw Nathan standing in the doorway. Our eyes locked for a few seconds.

"Nate what are you doing here?" I asked
"To see if you're okay. I haven't seen you much"

I nodded and turned to Jonah

"Jonah, can i have a moment alone with Nate please."
"Okay. Ill be in the next room with Sam" he relpied.

He walked away so there was just me and Nathan.

"So uh..how you been" he asked trying to strike a conversation
"Fine i guess." I relpied

Maybe i should tell him?

"Nate i have something important to tell you" i said nervously
"What is it"

I took a deep breath. Here goes nothing

"Im pregnant"

His eyes widened. How is he going to react?

"Nate? Say something please" i begged

He didnt say anything, he just sat down on the couch with his head in his hands. I sat down next to him.

"Nate please say something"

He looked up at me. He seemed confused.

"W-what am i suppose to say?" He asked
"I don't know anything"

He sighed.

"I-I cant do this Lara. You know I have a daughter already. I cant have another child especially with another woman"

What was he saying? What does he mean?

"What are you saying?" I asked him
"Im saying I dont want anything to do with this baby at all?" He spat

I understood why. I didnt say another word. As he started to leave i decided to tell him how i felt. Ive come to realize my true feelings for him.

"Before you leave, i should tell you this. I don't regret sleeping with you. At first i did because you're a married man but then i started to develop feelings for you"

He stopped at looked at me. I took it as a sign to continue.

"I tried to push them away but they were too strong and finding out that im pregnant with your kid it made me realize that i cant hide what i feel anymore."

At this point i was in tears. He walked up to up to me and caressed my cheek and wiped away my tears. He took a deep breath and suddenly I felt his lips on mine.

Nathan's POV

Lara's pregnant. Which means i fucked up. I cheated on Elena and got another woman pregnant. I already have a kid. This is just a mess.

"Nate please say something"

I looked up at her.

"W-what am i suppose to say?" I asked
"I don't know anything"

I sighed.

"I-I cant do this Lara. You know I have a daughter already. I cant have another child especially with another woman"

"What are you saying?" she asked him
"Im saying I dont want anything to do with this baby at all?" I spat

I regretted what i said immediately. I couldn't take this i had to have a drink. As i started to leave Lara spoke.

"Before you leave, i should tell you this. I don't regret sleeping with you. At first i did because you're a married man but then i started to develop feelings for you"

I stopped in my tracks and faced her. She had feelings for me. Did i have feelings for her?

"I tried to push them away but they were too strong and finding out that im pregnant with your kid it made me realize that i cant hide what i feel anymore."

She start to cry. I found myself walking up to her. I don't know what came over me but i caressed her cheek and wiped her tears. I quickly leaned in and kissed her. She was shocked at first but she eventually started kissing back. I gently pushed her on the lounge and hopped on top of her. We started making out. I realized in that moment that I too had feelings for Lara.

Sam's POV

I was reading a book when Jonah came in my room.

"Hey Jonah" i greeted
"Hey"
"What are you doin in here?"
"Lara's talking to some Nate guy"

Nathan's here. I excused myself and walked into the lounge room and saw Nathan kiss Lara. As i watched the kiss became more and more like a make out session. I was so shocked. He's married and has a child. Doesn't he care. I decided to be a bitch and tell his wife what hes been doing.

I grabbed my phone and dialled Elena's number. I got it from Lara since she became aqainted with her. Within a few rings she answered.

"Hello Elena speaking"
"Uh hi, this is Samantha, Lara's friend"
"Oh hi."

 I could already tell this was going to be awkward.

"Yeah, i have something to tell you and im really sorry you have to hear it from me."
"O..kay"

I took a deep breath.

"Your husband Nathan, he's cheating on you."
"What! No you must be mistaken. He would never do that?"

I could tell she was holding back tears. I felt sorry for her but she had to know.

"I'm sorry Elena, i thought you should know."
"Uh yeah thanks"

And with that she hung up. I felt bad for possibly ruining their marriage but it needed to be done.

Nathan's POV

I pulled away from Lara and we were both smiling. That was the best kiss ever. I was about to say something when my phone rang. It was Elena.

"Hey babe" i said casually
"Don't you hey babe me"

She sounded pissed.

"Whats wrong?"
"You thats whats wrong."
"Elena what are you saying?"
"Are you with her? And be fucking honest Nathan"
"With who?"
"Dont play mind games with me. Are you with Lara or not?"

I didnt say anything.

"I thought so. Have you been sleeping with her?" She asked

I still didnt say anything.

"Goddammit Nathan are you fucking her!" She yelled through the phone.

I had to say something. So i told her the truth.

"It was one time Elena"

I could here he mumbling something.

"I was drunk and it was a one night stand. Elena please forgive me."

"I dont think i can Nate. Im sorry. We're  over."
"What do you mean we're over?"
"I want a divorce"
"No Elena please."

And with that she hung up. I can't believe that happened. How did she find out? What's going to happen to my daughter? Will I ever see her again? I had so many questions and mixed feelings in my head. I love Elena with all my heart and i have feelings for Lara too. What am i to do?
