Falling Apart

chapter 12

Lara's POV

"What does it say?" Sam asked excitedly

I looked at the small stick in my hand. My eyes widened at what it said. No this is not right. It has to be faulty.

"Lara what does it say?"
"Im pregnant" i said in disbelifef

Sam squealed in excitement. At least some one is happy. What am i going to tell Nate? How is he going ro react? What will Elena say if she found out?

"Sam calm down," i said
"Lara you're pregnant. Its exciting"
"Not when its father is a married man who is expecting a baby to his fucking wife" i shouted
"Wait what?" Sam exclaimed confused

Shit. I hadnt told her about that one night stand with Nathan. Should i tell her?

"Lara?"
"About 6 weeks ago i met this guy at the chemist and not saw him a few days later when i was working, i got to know him and found out he was married." I started
"And you slept with him." Sam raised an eyebrow.
"Not straight away. He was drunk and i brought him back here so he was safe and he kept flirting with me and it just happend?"

Sam nodded. I could tell she was disappointed in me. I didnt blame her.

"So what's the baby daddys name?" She questioned
"Nathan" i quickly said
"What? That guy you went to Egypy with?"

I nodded. I could feel the judgement coming from her.

"Oh no Lara what have you gotten yourself into?"
"I dont know"

There was silence for a few minutes before Sam finally spoke again.

"Do you have feelings for him?" She asked

Did i have feelings for Nate? I haven't known him that long. I shrugged my shoulders and Sam shook her head.

"Maybe we should get to sleep."  She said walking off to her room.

I just stood there thinking about everything. It all suddenly hit me. The feelings ive been pushing aside. Grief from losing my friends in Yamatai, losing my parents all those years ago, sleeping with a married man who i might have feelings for and finding out im pregnant with his baby. I fell to my knees and cried. I was falling apart.
