Chapter 4.1: Finding a way

A rapid heartbeat was found as I hurriedly pave my way out of this garden. I'm running out of breath, already! This garden is so big that I can mistake it as a maze! Well, this is a maze.

Shocks! What have I done?

Suddenly, a raging sound was heard all over the garden.

Waaah! Help!!

I hurriedly run away to avoid it.

Minutes later, as I am panting heavily, I stopped on my tracks. A tall wall was blocking my way and there is no other way to get out! I'm so doomed!

Shit! Dead end! Is this the end of me?

40 minutes before....

I'm observing the surroundings that come before me as I walk down through the hallway.
Magnificent statues are placed before every pillar I passed by. These were mostly of those Masters that come before the academy, they are the inspiration of the little kids here. Well, are they? Tss. I'm not even moved by their achievements. They call themselves Masters? Well technically-yes, but I don't consider their outputs in life to be so called 'achievements'. So many annoying things and inconsiderable events they have brought up! What a waste of time!

There are three roads leading to different destinations that is within my sight. The first one leads to the administration buildings and other offices for students. May it be their club or an office for their organization, this road have it.

The second one leads to the classrooms, gym, big fields for athletic events, grass fields for training and in the end is a cliff where the boundary between the market where town folks usually hangs out and our Academy where dedicated people to protect our nation are gathered.

And lastly, the unknown road where brave Academiers got through and wander into the depths of this road. Travelers here were those who are curious on to what would lie beyond this grass road.

Hmm. Which road would I pick? If I'm the type who love to explore he managerial sceneries then the first road is the one that suits me best. If the second, then I'll be an adventurer with a definite goals in his mind. It is short and precise. If I would pick the third road or path, it will take me to the place where I do not know. And as you know, I love taking things into different notion *wink*. I just soooooooooo love thrilling moments! Life is never fun if you don't have this one, you know? :D

So, you know what would I pick now?

I am humming as I walk my way through the other side of this road. I imagined that this will be an exciting journey! Trees that is centuries old were shading my way for a better and comfortable walk. The sound of critters were now audible as I passed by the deep part of this road. Time after time I always wonder when this will end. I want to go sit and regain my strength for this puts too much toll on me!

As I walk my way, a fields of flowers were nearly on my sight. Numerous bunch of flowers that differs in their kinds were now highlighted. It feels like a paradise that only in this Academy can afford! How I wish I could stay in this area much longer!

As a souvenir, I plucked out the most eye-catching flower in my eyes-the majestic blue rose on the middle part of the field. Well, it really stands out, that's is why. Even before, I always want to look and plant one of them at my backyard but I could not afford a chance to. You know my adventures, right?

But really, every time I look at it, majestic blue rose flashes me its background history. It is said that whoever gets a chance to touch this rose in the ancient times will get a wish, a one wish. It's like a genie in the lamp but with limited wishes only. There are limits, though. Others said that you can't wish for adding three chances again. You should not wish for your personal greed, the impossible things and others.

So, I plucked it out and the next scene makes me tremble.....in fear.

OHMYJOLLY! So, as you can see (which you can't but you will just imagine it), I pluck it out and then....the ground shakes and there, on the same ground where I pluck out the majestic blue rose, emerge a blue-eyed, blue-skin monster.

A Gory!

Is it real?! Why this time? I have read the books about this kind and its power is so overwhelming! Well, don't tell the Librarian that I snuck into their rare section, okay? That's a top secret!

He got up (which he likely would) and glared at me. Well, what do you know? I just cut his tail-like hair. The majestic blue rose! Oh no! The rumors about it isn't true! Well, if you put it in a different situation, maybe the rumors are true and additional to that, one got to have his wish and his wish is to create a monster like guardian (which is this Gory) and poof! Here it is! But! Maybe, this rumor thingy isn't true after all and that others may just be bluffing about this. They were just hypnotized to say that it can grant any wish to think that others can, too and if they took the bait, the Gory will lure them to his trap and eat them! Well, he slice out a tinsy bitsy part of their soul as a sacrifice. In return, he revert them into their normal state (a not-so-normal, though) and erased their memories of that certain moment.

Being out of the world, or my brain isn't nowhere to find. Little did I know that he is preparing to attack me.

He charge towards me and I must say that he is so fast! And instinctively, I ran away to avoid it.

Think, think think!

Where would I go?

I analyze my current situation.

Road, Trees. Fields, path, monster!

The road! I must go straight for that road! There will be a high chance that I could find an escape route there and meanwhile formulate a plan on escaping!

Run! Run! Run!

I run as fast I can but he keeps getting closer to me!

I feel betrayed! Why does he get to have a super-fast legs like Flash while I can't? Why is this world, unfair?

But I can't give up now! It's now or never!

With all my might, I tried to run as fast as I can (as in, really). I tried! Promise!

Shocked, I stopped on my tracks (this isn't necessary this time) but, I am so doomed! A vast maze is in my sight and I can't help but feel so helpless!

But I mustn't give up now or I'll be a dead meat later! A roaring sound was heard moments later! He's here and he's catching up!
