I woke up inside a cage. Damn, I was officially captured. The cage was about the size of a large dog crate, and made out of what looked like bamboo. It was definitely too strong to kick out of.
"Glad you could finally join us, Jo," Peter said, while leaning against a tree. He looked all high and mighty while he was there posing. As I turned my head, I saw that there was a group of boys standing around my elevated cage.
"Morning to you too," I responded before seeing there to be bruises on his face. "Oh my God! Did I do that to you? I'm so sorry- wait, no never mind. You deserved your perfect little face to be pummeled and I hope I can do it again real soon!" I continued. He did not look to satisfied with my answer.
"You are probably wondering what you are doing here," he continued with an even glare, but his voice seemed to be slowly getting angrier.
"Ya, that is one of my many questions except I seem to have heard something about 'being stronger than you' I think it was?" I was not going to back down to a fight, even if I was locked up.
He pointed his finger at me "Peter Pan never fails!" he said, his composure was fine, but his voice was strained.
"Wow, talking in the third person now, are we?" I was waiting to see how long it took for him to explode. Actually, while I was talking to him, making him angry, I was working with my bobby pin to pick-lock the lock on my cage.
He took a deep breath and stared me directly in the eye. I don't back down often, but the look in his eye showed something close to wanting to murder me. "You really need to shut up. We're having no fun. As I was saying, you are here because of something that says I will meet my match. You are that person."
"Well I have noticed that I can kind of fling you against a tree with sheer will power so..." With that last word, I felt a satisfying click of the lock. Now I wait.
"Ha, you are no match for me. We'll teach you this in the cage" he said. With that, I flung the door open and jumped out. I pushed my arms out, causing all the lost boys to lose their weapons while being flung to the ground. Peter was dead still though. Whatever I did seemed to have not affected him at all.
He walked towards me slowly. "Well, that was quite a performance. But you broke the rules, that's no fun."
"Ya what rules are those?" I asked, getting into a fighting position, or at least, what I assumed to be one.
"You didn't use magic to get out, I wanted to see it," he responded, strutting towards me.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't informed. Too bad I'm going to leave this island," I said before punching Peter Pan in the face, or, at least, that's what I intended to do. Instead, he grabbed my hand, pulled it behind my back and slipped something on to my wrist before releasing me.
I looked at my wrist to see an old leather cuff. "It blocks magic" he said as I struggled to get it off. "It won't come off unless I want it to," he continued.
"Look who's not playing fair now," I responded before turning on my heel and walking away.
"Where do you think you're going?" he asked before grabbing me by my hair. By now it was starting to really hurt as he dragged me in the opposite direction.
"Well, why the hell would you need me now that I can't use my magic?" I retorted. I just want to leave and my sadness turned into more anger. I rarely get sad, I get pissed.
"Well now you can't and I don't want you to leave now, I need your power for later," he stated while dragging me back to the camp. By now the lost boys were waking up all confused and jumbled up.
We slowly trudged our way back to the campsite.
Peter, fully composed, and me being dragged.
