I admit, I was caught by surprise. I mean really, John likes me? I mean that's my conclusion to the fact that he's kissing me!
Yes, I did kiss him back. The heavy make out session did go for a couple minutes. I'm not complaining. This dude is my crush! Like my actual crush. It is so hard now a days to have your crush like you back so this is a new experience for me.
He pulled away, gave me a cheeky smile, and slipped out of the tent leaving me lying there in complete and utter confusion, yet strangely satisfied. I stayed there reliving the beautiful moment over and over again in my head until dawn. I must have dozed off at one point because I was awakened by voices outside my tent.
Me, being the sneaky girl I am, perked up my ears to listen.
"Who told her?" whispered a voice.
"Who told her what?" another voice responded.
"Who told her about Wendy?" This time the whisper was more forced.
"Pan, you really didn't hide her very well-"
"Don't patronize me. I wasn't sure I was going to use Wendy in the first place. She is just here for my usage for other... things. If she can satisfy me one way, I'm sure she can satisfy in others-" said Pan as he got farther away from the tent.
Ewww.
Ewwwwww.
GROSS! I mentally shouted as I crawled to the other side of the tent.
"I HAVE VIRGIN EARS!" I shouted. Not realizing I was saying it out loud, a head popped into my tent as a response.
"You have what?" asked a boy I vaguely remembered.
I sat there for a second before shaking my head. "Nevermind," I murmured before exiting the tent. As I stood outside, I caught a breathe of fresh air before smelling something ghastly. After looking around to make sure I was alone, I sniffed my armpits and cringed. Yep. That horrible smell was me.
Awkward.
I ran over to Pan's tent, hoping he would be in there so I could ask for new clothes. I walked in to see the tent unoccupied so I shrugged my shoulder and walked over to a chest in the corner. I opened it slowly and peered inside. There were clothes neatly folded inside, so I grabbed a shirt, pants, cloak, and a pair of boots. Mostly everything there would be too big but I can manage before I ask for anything. As his "prisoner" he could at least give me some clothing.
I grabbed some meat that was on a plate near the fire, assuming it to be breakfast, and wandered off, looking for a private place to bathe and wash all the shit and grime off my body. The further I walked, the more bored I got. I started humming "Me and the Ceiling" by Celeste Buckingham as I walked but I stopped when I heard somebody else humming along. I looked around and saw nobody, so I resumed walking, more cautiously this time. I resumed humming, quieter this time. After a minute or so, I heard another voice humming along. I turned around just in time to see a little light fly behind a bush.
"Hello? Anyone there?" I asked. I slowly walked towards the bush. "Hello?" I asked again.
"Hi. I'm not supposed to be talking to you." said a voice. The mysterious voice revealed herself by flying up to meet me at my height. She was a fairy in all purple with glittered wings.
"Why shouldn't you be talking to me?" I asked.
"Because Tinkerbell told us that if we talk to you, she'd rip off our wings," said another voice. I turned to see a man fairy all in blue (teehee man fairy) staring at me.
"Can she do that?" I asked.
"No. It's just an expression," said the dude fairy.
"Oh ok... Well, I'm Jo, nice to meet you," I said. I didn't extend my hand for a handshake because... well... they are fairies.
"Oh we know. But I'm Lavender, and that's Jeff," said the purple fairy. I grinned at the fact she's Lavender and he's just Jeff.
"That's cool. So why did you talk to me if you aren't supposed to be, well, talking to me?"
"Because we are rebels-" started Jeff.
"No we aren't. Jeff wanted to find out what that smell was," said Lavender.
My face turned red with that comment. "Ya actually, I was looking for somewhere to get cleaned up. Do you happen to know where a good place like that would be?"
The fairies looked at each other and nodded simultaneously.
"Ya we do, we'll show you," said Lavender. She led the way and I followed.
"Can you keep singing that song?" she asked as we, I mean, I walked ( she flew).
"Oh um ok...
I've been lying here alone in the dark
And it's five in the morning
Everybody tells me I'm insane but
I'm ignoring the warnings
And it's not like I'm having a terrible time
But I can't seem to get you out of my mind
Though I know we're fine for now I'm sad to say that the curtains are closing" I sang.
Jeff clapped his hands and pointed at me. "You're good! Can I take you back with me one of these times so you can sing with us?"
I looked at him slightly embarrassed by his compliment. "Umm sure and thanks," I said.
We finally got to our destination and in front of me was a slow moving, yet somewhat deep river. It was perfect.
"Well, bye! Have fun not smelling bad!" said Jeff. They turned to leave.
"Wait, just making sure, can the mermaids get here?" I asked. Those girls are creepy and have a hunkering for a killing so no me gusta.
"Nah, you're good. It's too shallow for their liking," replied Lavender before they flew away.
I shrugged and walked over to the shore. I looked around, double checking I was alone, before stripping my clothes and placing them near the shore next to my other change of clothes.
Sinking deeper into the water, I started scrubbing myself clean. I saw all the mud and dirt drift down stream and I cringed. It was like my whole body was just dirt. When I was finally satisfied with my body, I went to my hair.
The knots in it were unbelievable. It took my about 10 minutes of brushing with my fingers and scrubbing it until it was manageable and back to its untangledness.
I was just sitting there in the end and having deep thoughts like: Do all the presidents know the bed they are sleeping in in the White House has been slept in by tons of now-dead presidents? Do aliens exist? Is the eye of Sauron the left or right eye?
My thoughts were interrupted by a cough from the shore.
I looked over my shoulder to see Pan sitting on the shore.
"Well isn't this a turn of events?" said Peter with a cocked eyebrow.
Well shit.
