Yeah making longer chapters isn't working out... Watt pad doesn't let me hahaha. So i'll just try my best to make it at least 2 pages long this time but don't take that as a promise.
I woke up the next morning to yell out in the living room so i got up to see what was going on. i opened the door and i could hear that it was my dad and another persons voice i didn't recognise. walking out into the living room i saw my dad having an argument with one of the UR soldiers from the Barracks, I recognised him as Private Jefferson, the one who saw me in the cell at the Barracks. As soon as i entered the room all attention seemed to turn to me liked I'd murdered someone.
"Errrm, did i do something?" I said very confused.
"No son yo-." dad attempted to say
"You, Dean Longstead are under arrest under suspicion of thievery." Announced Jefferson.
"What?!?!" I exclaimed, outraged by the accusation as i hadn't done anything of the sort, not since Friday anyway. I looked to dad for some support but all i got was a look of submission.
"200 Republics were stolen from the markets yesterday and from what I've heard you and a friend of yours were causing a bit of trouble, and stealing money in the process it seems."
"That's absolute crap! sure we caused a bit of trouble but it was in good faith! we didn't steal anything!" Now i was feeling victimised.
"Be that as it may, 200 republics have gone missing and you are a prime suspect, I'm sorry but a=I'm going to have to take you in."
"Hold up! If my son says he didn't take anything He didn't take anything! He may have stolen in the past but hes not a liar and hes not a fool! hes not one to make the same mistake twice!" Dad said in total defiance to the Private.
"Mr.Longstead, stand down." stand Jefferson
"Don't you dare tell me to stand down! I was once a recognised Commander of the UR ship The Harmon! Remember who your talking to Private!"
Wow dad hasn't spoken to anyone about his position in the UR for years. He was really mad now.
"Be that as it may Mr.Longstead, You arn't In the UR Navy anymore and your son is the prime suspect in a robbery, now i ask you please stand down! Lest i have to take you in as well!"
I could see dad was about to snap so i thought it best to intervene, we cant have mum be looking after penny all by herself for a month
"Dad, stop. just let them take me in, you need to look after Kate and Penny, remember?"
"Yes. Yes of course, your right." calming down completely.
"Now Dean will you come quietly?" said Jefferson.
"I will."
So there i was, in the Barracks for the second time this week, only this time i had a friend, they'd taken Nick as well.
"This is crap. This is crap. This is crap! They cant do this! we didn't do anything!" Nick yelled
"I'm sorry Nick, this is my fault. I wish they hadn't dragged you into this to." i apologised
And so we spent an unfathomable amount of time in that gray block until eventually the wall split to reveal the door and Sergeant Blackburn appeared in the door way.
"Nickolas, Your family are here to see you." said the Sergeant and with that i was alone.
I sat there for what felt like hours but cant have been since Nick hadn't returned yet. Unless they'd released him. Which just puts me in this room, alone, for and unimaginably long time, not unimaginable because it was hard to know, unimaginable because I didn't know if I could make it though.
