Youngsters: time to grow up

Chapter 4: Claiming

"Cool." Evan said as he pulled his gloves on. Each outfit was similar, black jumpsuits yet they were tailored to everyone's needs.

All of the outfits had special symbols on the arm. Lillith had a dark green ghost, Lizzie had a dark grey gem, Leon had a lime green knife and Leon had a yellow crest of sorts.

"What's that Ev?" Lillith asked as she sat in the pilot's seat next to him.

"My family's crest." He said as he looked at her symbol. The ghost wasn't generic or cartoony. The 'ghost' looked more like a see through woman. "yours is cool." She nodded and smiled at him.

"Let's go!" Everyone entered the jet as the ramp/door closed. They jet took off and left through a sky roof which opened and closed after they had left.

"Evan, you never said your skills." Lizzie stated.

"Oh, I didn't did I." He sighed "Well for starters I'm an inhuman."

"That's cool." Lizzie said.

"Mission plan." Vera said as she look at her team.

"We could split off into groups." Lillith suggested.

"There's five of us." Leon said like it made no sense even though it did.

"You can make groups out of that." Lillith glared at him and listed two examples. "You could have a pair and a three or two pairs and someone on there own."

"Let's do two pairs and I'll be on my own." Vera picked up her gloves and put them on. "The pairs will be Lillith and Evan, Lizzie and Leon." The team nodded as the jet landed on a roof. They all exited and looked around. Further forward you could see destroyed buildings and hear people screaming.

"How pleasant," Lillith sighed as she looked at the mess. "Come along." Her and Evan ran forwards jumping over the gaps between the rooftops.

"Me and Lizzie will evacuate people trapped by rubble." Leon ran to the side of the building and climbed down the fire escape and Lizzie followed him. Vera however ran in the complete opposite direction. She ran towards Avengers Tower.

"Help us!" A woman screamed. This group of people were being held hostage in a bank.

"Alright." Lillith replied as she jump in through the window and tackled one of the gunmen. She hit him hard in the face and he fell into an unconscious state. Evan entered the building and held his hands out as he moved them about yellow waves formed around the men and when he moved his hands the yellow waves flung the men into the ceiling and then dropped them.

"Nice power." Lillith smiled seeing as she was the first person on the team to see his power.

"It's not my only one." He winked at her and she smirked. Lillith pulled two masks out of a bag and passed one to Evan. They were simple drama masks that were black. "Thanks. Do the others have one?" He asked as he put his on.

"Yeah." Lillith put her mask on as she walked into the group of people and found the ropes that bound them together. She grabbed a knife out of her combat boots and cut it. "Go quickly." She told them as they all ran out of the building.

"You aren't they people we were hoping for but you'll do." A man's voice rang through the building as Lillith and Evan glanced at each other. "It's come time that Villains must start to claim territory. You are one my turf." Armed men poured into the building and circled Evan. "Where did the second one go?!" The man yelled out as he left the shadow that hid him. This villain was in fact crossbones.

Lillith rose up from the ground behind him and kicked him in the back of the neck. He jolted forward and fell over the railing and down to the first floor. "Here I am." She waved while Evan finished fighting the men. "We need to get him to the Avengers or S.H.I.E.L.D. we can't just leave him unrestrained here."

"Alright. What shall we do?" Evan looked over to her.

"Do we have a way of carrying him?" She asked looking away from him as she jumped over the railing.

"Actually yes." He held his hands out again and the yellow waves looped around Crossbones limbs and lifted him off of the ground. "Just cover me while we walk there." Lillith nodded and started speed walking ahead of him. The few amount of guards they saw, Lillith took them down immediately.

"Where are the Avengers?" Evan questioned in a slightly panicked state.

"Not far from here." Lillith gently tugged his sleave.

"I'm not sure when he will wake. It could be soon." Evan started walking a little faster yet Lillith saw that it pained him.

"Slow down and don't h--" She was cut off as a explosion went of and shrapnel hit her in the temple.

"No!" Evan yelled as he dropped crossbones and picked her up bridal style.
