Vera put the TV remote down and stood up. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and there wasn't much she could do. Leon entered the room and sat at Lillith’s desk.

"Good afternoon, Leon." Vera greeted as she made her way over to him.

"Hey." He replied in a sad and quiet tone.

"What's wrong with you?" She asked as she put her shoes on.

"There is nothing to do. Lizzie is at school and Evan and Lillith are on their date." He stood and walked around to Vera. Leon was wearing clean bandages and will do until his glass eye arrives.

"~Do you wanna be a pirate?" Vera sang merrily.

"What?" He asked.

"Y'know Grey island?" Vera stand in front of Leon.

"Yeah. Big leisure place. A lot of its private. Few pools and stuff for tourists." Leon put a jacket on.

"Nothing there is restricted to me. Heck! I have my own workshop there, I mainly stay in there. We can do whatever. Like make you an eyepatch or a sword." Vera smiled widely. "I'm going but you don't have to if you don't want to."

"Let me go with you. I may die of boredom if I stay here." Vera giggled at him dramatic response and grabbed some key from her pocket.

"Let's go, pretty boy." She joked as she left the warehouse with Leon speed walking to catch up with her. As they left they turn and headed for a black sports car. "Get in." She said.

"That yours?" He asked in slight shock. "Your seventeen."

"Yes this is mine and I'm actually one thousand and fifty two." She got into the drivers seat and closed the door.

"Wait what?!" He yelled as he entered the car. There where comfortable seats and the interior amazed Leon.

"Baby boy, don't drool." Vera put the key in the ignition and turn to look at Leon.

"What's with your pet names for people?" He looked at her and was surprised to see a twenty four year old at the wheel. She had light brown hair and entrancing green eyes.

"Still me. My dad was a shape shifter my mum was an elf so I'm half an half. Also my nicknames are quality, small child." Leon rolled his eyes and looked out the window. They drove for thirty seven minutes and eventually arrived at a security terminal by a dock. Vera showed a man a card and then put it in a machine he held out. A light flashed green and they were allowed in.

Vera parked the car near some stairs and took the keys out. "Out."

"So polite." Leon sighed as both he and Vera left the car. They decended down the stair and reached a boat by the dock. Vera by this point was her normal self. Tall with purple hair and shinning blue eyes.

"Ah! Vera, haven't seen ya in a while." A man at the boats steps said.

"Abel. How are you? Your wife ok?" Vera asked while Leon stared at the boat. It definitely belonged to Grey technologies.

"I'm alright and they say my wife will be okay now. We were all worried yet Grey paid for the treatment. D'ya hear?" He said.

"Yes. I'm so glad she's going to be alright." She smiled and tilted her head slightly to the left. Looking at her, Leon saw that she had a happy face with eyes that have seen a lot. "Welp! Me and my friend have to get to the island, I haven't seen my workshop in so long."

"Of course miss." Abel moved aside, Vera thanking him. Leon and Vera made their way onto the ferry. On the deck there were a few passengers staring out at the water or conversing with a drink in hand. A small group of kids were sat on the floor giggling.

"The boat should leave in about..." Vera paused to look at her watch. "...four or five minutes."

"Great." Leon walked towards the door and entered. The interior was mainly varnished oak wood furniture, chairs with soft red cushions, a bar/ food stall and some fancy glasses that were left on tables. Waiters and waitress walked around collecting dishes, glasses and the odd few mugs. People lounged about in booths or around tables with their hand luggage at their feet.

"Snazzy, right?" Vera placed a hand on his shoulder.

"It's nice. A mix of hotel lounge and British pub." Leon summed up the room and Vera nodded.

"Want a drink? Food?" Vera pulled her purse out of her bag.

"Cola please and a few chips." He replied and looked around again.

"Ok. You go find a table." Vera walked over to the bar to buy 'two colas and one large fry basket'. Leon walked over to a booth in the corner and sat down. He took out his phone and looked through his notifications. He open a certain app, it wasn't a main one but a private one Grey had set up. He opened the teams group chat. Evan had been sending pictures of him and Lillith at a restaurant saying afterwards they were going to the cinema.

"You look like you might pop a vessel. Calm down, wassup?" Vera sat down and put their drinks on the table.

"Evan." He only realised he was angry when Vera pointed it out. He was jealous. Jealous because Evan was with Lillith. Jealous because she would go with him after Evan hurt him. Upset.

Upset because she wouldn't realised he wanted to be with her.
