Klaus' received the message from Freya about the wedding and all that had happened surrounding it.

He now sent for Vincent to see him. Unlike Elena, Klaus didn't have a trustworthy adviser by his side, only compelled officials and minions who simply were in awe of the King. He despised the witches, but he complied with them. And they had pledged to serve the kingdom and him as the rightful heir when he came on the throne. He knew that they were always dealing with things with Elijah and that had him mad even more.

As Vincent arrived, he gave him orders to get all of the wolf clan chieftains from the neighbouring lands to gather for the meeting.

"As you wish,"Vincent said," but can I just remind you that they would not come to New Orleans"

"I know that. I will go to the border and meet them there in the Cloud Mountain" Klaus said.

"Right, sir. One more thing. How are we to handle the attack on your brother?"

"The attack was on the Queen Elena, wasn't it? He merely protected his wife. Do we know who attempted to kill her? Until the Coronation, he is just her husband, not the King." Klaus asked.

"No real proof as yet. If the Strix is behind it, as we suspect, they would hide their tracks masterfully as they have always done. And- there is news regarding Elijah and his status even after the Coronation." Vincent said.

"What?" Klaus now asked.

"According to their Laws, he  can not become king, as he was not born in Mystic Falls. He will remain to be the Consort" Vincent replied.

Klaus put a small smirk on, saying-"serves him right. He has always paraded like he was the King and not me- carrying me for centuries- yeah- like I needed him"

Vincent could see that Klaus was still very much angered by the brother's last confrontation and he was not letting the grudge go.

As Vincent still stood there, Klaus asked what more was there.

"You are expected to attend the Coronation" Vincent said.

"What? And leave the Kingdom without the King?!"

"You have to show united front," Vincent said,"Lady Rebekah is more than capable to look after the Throne in your absence. She will be home by then."

"I'll think about it," Klaus said,"I will be riding out later. Make sure my sisters get a safe passage home. Also, what news of Tristan de Martel?"

"He is still furious about the witches making the deal with you about Elijah marrying Queen Elena. We are keeping an eye on him." Vincent said.

"Keep all eyes on him," Klaus said,"he will plot against us."

"I will, sir."

"Go now." Klaus said hearing Aurora enter the Mikaelson Castle.

In Mystic Falls

Elena woke up some time before dawn snuck out of Elijah's bed and went into her room closing the door behind her as she got in. Elijah opened his eyes looking at the window at the morning sun bathing his face. Everything inside of him was jumbled up. He still felt the burning on her lips on his. And though her heart was not with his, he felt her want for him, he felt her trust as she looked at him all of her vulnerability streaming out of her as he covered her up and she nestled to him like a bird with broken wings. He vowed he would shelter her and shelter he will. He will give his whole. His heart now vowed.
