Elena Gilbert is a new young vampire Queen of Mystic Falls, as her life is threatened, she will make an alliance with the Mikaelson family by marrying Elijah Mikaelson.

Elena knelt down in front of Sheila Bennett, the witch elder, who now held the crown above the vampire's head.
"Madam, is Your Majesty Elena, of the House of Gilbert, ready to take the oath?"
"I am." Elena answered.
Sheila continued,
"Do you solemnly promise and swear that you will govern all the diverse species living in the Kingdom of Mystic Falls, all of your Possessions and Territories to any of them pertaining according to their respective laws and customs? Will you to your power cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all your judgements?"
Elena replied,
"I solemnly promise to do so."
"Repeat after me," Sheila said,
" I things which ni have símen yenya promised, ni indóme perform, ar keep. As mime blood ni swear."
Elena repeated the oath in old elvish, the language of all kings and queens spoken from the beginning of time.
"The things which I have here before promised, I will preform and keep. With my blood I swear."
Elena now cut the palms of her hand with the old royal sword given to Elena by the Bonnie. Sheila then put the crown in her hands. Elena kissed the crown and then put it on her head.
As her blood got sealed with the crown, Elena could feel the magic of the old crown pass onto her. She then rose up and Sheila now proclaimed the following,
"To all present on this faitfull day, I here present unto you,
Queen ELENA,
blessed by the Sun and the Moon
your undoubted Queen, the one that crowned with this ancient magical regalia will abide by the ancient rules of this Kingdom of Mystic Falls having sealed her oath with this crown to the end of her days"

Elena's eyes shone bright blood-red as the Vampire Queen looked straight into the ray of sun looming through the opening from the rosette window.
Elena then walked to the Throne and sat down on it and everyone present now cheered hailing the new Queen's name.
