In the Bennett Lake House

"So, how can I help you?" Damon now asked as he got into the witch's house.

Bonnie threw a book at him, "Find anything that has the word svartr attached to the dagger."

"What?"

"I know it is like looking for a needle in the hay-stag, but it is to do with the poison that was on the dagger. It means black, and then look for the dagger - so far we know that it belongs to a vampire-witch who called it Absorbing all light." Bonnie explained.

"I though we are going to have some fun, I've just finished a 24 hour shift watching the Queen like a hawk, and helping her love life, so we get to sail out on the Lake." Damon complained,"Isn't your mother on it anyway. Caroline and Tyler are late."

"Caroline called. They are not coming. They had a huge argument over Maxwell." Bonnie informed him.

"So, it's just you and me. The Queen is busy with her husband. And I mean, not shuffling papers, but down to shuffling- "

Bonnie looked at Damon with her eyes sparkling at the news,"How- what- when?"

"They are in the Mystic Lake house-" Damon now updated the witch with the latest.

"And she didn't get out of the house?"

"Nope," Damon said,"and I don't think they are drinking tea, do you?"

"Good for them" Bonnie said happily, "Elena deserves a bit of happy."

"And I think that we do, too. Come on, leave the books. At least for one night and let's get out on the lake. The wind is just right."

Bonnie was looking at him tempted, but then said that she has to be readyfor the Council in the morning.

"You will be. I will help you with the reading when we get back. Come on, live a little." Damon said.

Bonnie closed the book and nodded in agreement.

They scampered out of the house down to the pier where the Bennett family sailboat was.

In the Forbes Mansion, Caroline was going through her wardrobe. Discarting stuff was her way of channeling her anger. And she was fuming, because Tyler completely lost it with Maxwell, who had been grinding against Mason, and Tyler blew and it turned into an ugly fight, where the guards had to remove them, and by Liz's orders had them locked up.

Tyler had always had a bad temper, and he had hard time dealing with it, till he got together with Caroline, who helped him manage it.

As had arrived at the Grill house where the fight broke out, trying to get him away frim Maxwell, he completely ignored her, pushing her away. Later in the cells, as Caroline gave him a piece of her mind, still consumed by his anger, he told her to go and stop mothering him.

After leaving the cells, she was not in the mood for anything or anyone.

Now, after shredding most of her clothes, she slamped down now crying.

Liz, having returned home, having heard her daughters snivels, she got to her room

"What is this?" Liz asked, knowing full well what it was like when Caroline blew her top off.

"I have nothing good for the Coronation Ball." Caroline got up wiping her tears off looking at her mother like a wounded bird."Sometimes I really hate him."

"I know you are hurt, but I don't believe tgat you hate him. He did wrong. And trust me they will both learn their lesson," Liz said,"come on- how about you and me open the blood wine and cook something you like."
