Recovery

   2 weeks later (Hayes' pov)

      So it's been exactly 2 weeks since Hali's ankle is torn. Her recovery is taking slow. We went to the doctors yesterday and shes not ready for the boot. They said since her ankle has always gave her problems and always popping out of place, it will take longer than expected. But I'm so scared she's going to need surgery and it's all my fault.
      I feel so guilty even though she says not too. But on the good side her and I have been together a lot recently. She barley stays at her house, and if she does I'm there spending the night.
      Her parents don't mind. And yes they cared about her foot but they know I didn't mean to do it. Michelle and John seem like they like me, well I hope they do. I'm planning on asking her out in a couple days and I'm going to ask her parents for permission. Cliché I know but I don't care. It's the right thing to do.
Right now Hali is sleeping on my chest. I have my arms wrapped around her and just staring into space. It's currently 8:19am so she won't wake up for another hour or so unless her foot starts to bother her. I hear screaming downstairs and I'm guessing Hali does too because she jolts and wake up. "What the fuck?" She instantly covers her mouth. I laugh and pick her up. We head downstairs to see who's screaming. And of course it's Tez. "What in the hell man?" I say looking around trying to find out what he's screaming from. "It was all quiet and then out of nowhere a bird flew into the window and made a big thud sound and scared the living shit out of me." He laughs. Hali starts bursting out laughing then goes serious. "You woke me up because of a freakin bird?!" She yells angrily. "Sorry Hali. In my defense it was a big ass bird." Tez laughs.
She lets out a little laugh and snuggles into my bare chest. "Well we're going back upstairs to sleep so no more screaming." "No promises." I laugh and go upstairs. "No no no!" Hali whimpers. "What's wrong?" I ask freaking out. "My foot. It's cramping up and when it does this it doesn't ease up for like an hour." She pouts. "Well turn that frown upside down because we're going to cuddle all day and watch movies." She smiles and sits on my lap wrapping her one leg around my waist while the other one is kicked out. "Can I tell you something?" She asks looking into my eyes. "Shoot." I smile. "I.. I like you." She says looking down playing with her fingers.
    "You what?" I ask surprised. "I know you don't feel the same you just like me as a friend but I can't hold my feelings back anymore. I've like you since the day at the fair. You're cool, funny, caring and extremely hot. So if you want me to leave then I'll le-" I cut her off by kissing her. Sparks went everywhere. Not literally but you no what I mean. It wasn't a long kiss, but it wasn't a peck either. "I like you too." She hugs me tight and I hug back.
    "So what does this make us?" Hali asks. "Well I was going to ask you to be my girlfriend tomorrow and ask your parents tonight when you have to go home and get new clothes but I'm going ask you now. Hali Marie Grayson, will you do me the honors and being my beautiful girlfriend?" "Yes Benjamin Hayes Grier. I'll be your girlfriend." She smiles brightly and I kiss her. She wraps her arms around my neck and I deepen the kiss.
    To ruin the moment Tez and Nash walk in. "Hey Haye- woah!! PDA PDA!!" Tez yells. "My eyes! My precious eyes!" Nash yells rubbing his eyes. Hali laughs and gets off of my lap. "What do you two want?" I say giving them the 'it better be good or I'll kick your ass' look. "We we're going to ask of you guys wanted to go out to eat but looks like you two already did." Tez says winking. Hali grabs a pillow and chucks it at him. "But really do you guys wanna go?" Nash asks laughing a little. "Yes!" Hali says. "No!" I yell. All eyes are shot at me. "What? Why not?" Hali asking pouting. I lean into her ear and whisper, "because I wanna stay home with you." She smiles and kisses my cheek. "I'm staying home."
Nash and Tez walk out. Finally. "USE PROTECTION!" Nash and Tez yell and close the door. Hali blushes and hides her face in my chest. "So what do you wanna do?" "We could try to make pancakes." She smiles. "Yes! Me love pancakes!" I get up and pick Hali up. "Hayes you know I have crutches right?" I nod. "Yeah but it's a pain in the ass to get down the stairs so." She laughs.
    We get downstairs and I grab the eggs, the pancake mix, some milk and vanilla extract. "I call mixing it!" Hali shouts. "Aww man you took my favorite thing to do." I pout. "You can help me." I smile. I pour the mix in and add two eggs into it. I pour the milk in and a little drop of vanilla. I bring the bowl over to Hali and give her the spoon to mix it. She starts mixing it and then all of a sudden I feel something cold and wet on my cheek. "Oh no you didn't." I laugh and scoop some of the batter and smear it on her forehead. "Oh yes I did." She takes more and throws it at me but missing completely.
     I take the bowl and pour it on her. "Haaaayyyeeeessss." Hali yells becoming all covered in batter from head to toe. She gets up and hops over to me. I start backing away but she grabs my arm and hugs me. She lets go and smirks at what she did. "Hali!" I laugh. "Karma's a beep." I bust out laughing. "Just say the word Hali." "Bitch." She mumbles. "Louder. I couldn't hear you." "Bitch." She's says at s volume I can hear. "There you goo!!" She laughs. "Sorry that I don't swear." She pouts. "Let's get you washed up and a new wrap. Looks like some of it got onto it." I pick her up and take her to the bathroom upstairs.          
    "Okay so you can just leave your bra and underwear on because it's just like a bathing suit. Or unless you want to get fully undressed then I'm fine with that too." I smirk. "Yeah no. I'll keep my bra and panties on thank you very much." She takes her shirt off and I help her with her shorts. She covers her chest with her arms. "Babe it's fine. You have your bra on. It's not like you're naked." I smile to make her comfortable. She slowly unwraps her hands from her chest. "Okay so can you get on your knees please?" She nods and I help her get on her knees in front of the tub. I turn the warm water on and grab her shampoo. Yes she has her own shampoo here. I told you this already, she's never home.  
     I rinse the batter out of her hair for a good 5 minutes. Then I put the shampoo in and massage her head. I rinse it out and do the same thing for the conditioner. I grab a towel and start to dry her hair. She grabs the towel and wraps it around her head. I help her stand up. "Now I'm all cleaned. It's your turn." She smiles. She hops over to the cabinet and grabs a wash cloth. Hali gets it wet with warm water and starts to clean my chest off. I blush and smile. "What?" She asks while still cleaning me off. "Nothing. You just look really cute right now." I lean down and give her a small kiss on the cheek. Now she's the one blushing.
     After I'm all cleaned up I pick her up and we go to my room. We'll clean the mess up later or I'll have Tez and Nash do it. I lay down with Hali on my chest. "Movie?" I ask her. I get no response. "Hali?" I look down and see her eyes closed. Damn this girl can sleep for hours on hours. I decided on closing my eyes also and letting sleep take over.

   Ahhh they confessed their feelings and kissed. Now they're dating!!!😊😊❤I'm so so sorry for not updating yesterday I had a little writers block but now I'm back.
