Wrong Number

Birthday

Hali's pov:

I wake up to no one by my side. Huh that's weird. I swing my legs over the bed and look at the clock. 9:47am. Too early but it's my birthday. Wait. It's my birthday! I'm finally 15! Which means I can actually ride dirt bikes without a parents permission on the tracks!
   I see a note on the door and I get up to read it. The letter says,

Hi babe. Sorry I wasn't there to wait for you to wake up and give you 15 kisses. Cause you know, you're 15. But anyways I went back to my house so I can pack some more clothes and play with Zan and take him to the vet with Nash. Don't worry tho, I'll be back in like 5 hours. Maybe more. That's if Nash doesn't hold me up. I love you so much babygirl. Happy birthday!

  This made me smile even if I can barley read it from his terrible hand writing. I put the note on my table. I grabbed my phone and went into the bathroom. I started jamming to R.I.P 2 My Youth, by The Neighbourhood. I love them. I strip and turn my bath water on. Suddenly my music stops and my ringtone starts playing. I answer.

Me: Hello?

Tez: sup birthday mama whatcha doin?

Me: about to take a bath.

Tez: you're 15 and you still take baths? HAYES YOUR GIRLFRIEND STILL TAKES BATHS!

Hayes: WISH I WAS THERE! I hear him yell and I can tell by the way his voice was, he had a smirk on his face. Of course the boy was thinking that.

Tez: anyways, would you like to go out to lunch today? Since Hayes and Nash have to go take Zan to the vet?

Hali: yeah sure sounds like fun. What time?

Tez: around 12? That sound aight?

Hali: yes it does. See you then.

Tez: peace homie

I hang up and grab a bath bomb from under sink. I climb in and grab my phone. I go onto Snapchat and start recording. I drop the bomb and watch it start moving around releasing a gold, glittery color. I set my phone on the ledge and I sink down to neck level with the water and just relax.
  After about 20 minutes of just listening to music and relaxing, I finally get out and my fingers and toes look like a raisin. I laugh and wrap myself up with my towel. I walk into my room and go straight to my closet. I grab a black crop top with a white skater skirt and some galaxy vans. I quickly dry off and change. I run into the bathroom again and blow dry my hair. I decided I'll leave it at its wavy state and start on my makeup which consists of a light layer of foundation, nude eyeshadow and nude lipstick. Then I do a wing and my mascara. I brush my teeth and quickly walk out the door when I'm done.
   I check the time on my phone and see it's already 11:50. Damn that took long. I slip on my vans and wait for Tez. Right on time Tez knocks on the door. I grab my over the body purse that's black with the fox racing logo on the back and open the door. "Ready?" I ask. He nods and I walk out closing the door. I quickly lock it and walk to his car. "So we can either go the Panera, Starbucks, In & Out, or whatever you want." Tez laughs pulling out of the driveway. "Umm how about Panera?" He nods and starts heading that way. "So what do you have in mind for tonight?" He asks keeping his eyes on the road. "Not much. Actually I didn't have anything planned for today until you called and asked to go to lunch." I laugh. "But I'm probably going to go ride on the track out in Orange." I shrug and grab some gum from my purse.
"That sounds fun." He simply says pulling into Panera. He parks and we both get out. "So after lunch I was thinking maybe we could go to back to Nash's house and wait for the boys to get back?" Tez asks scratching the back of his neck. I raise an eyebrow but nod. "Yeah sure. That's better than doing nothing." I laugh a little. We get into line and order our food. "I'll have a water and apple, cinnamon oatmeal please." I say. "I'll have the same thing." Tez replies and the cashier gives us the total. "That will be 13.20. Please." I start to give him my money, but Tez smacks my hand out of the way and pays. "Hey aren't you Hali Grayson? The motorcross queen?" The guy asks. "Yeah I am. Are you fan?" I smile. "A big one." He smiles. "Well do you want a picture? Or something signed?" I ask.
"If you don't mind sure." The guys smiles. I nod and he comes out from behind the counter. "Tez can you take the picture?" I ask and the guy hands him his phone. Tez takes the picture and gives the phone back. "Call me?" The dude says. "I'm sorry I have a boyfriend." I simply say. "Oh who is he?" He asks. "I'm sorry I'm not going to classify him." I grab Tez's arm and sit down at a table far away from that weird ass guy. "That dude wasn't creepy at all." I say. Hint the sarcasm. "You handled that pretty well. And I know Hayes wouldn't want a fucking stranger know who he's dating." Tez laughs. A different waiter brings our food out and I scarf down the oatmeal. What? Don't give me that look. I was starving okay? Ruuudddee. "So you ready to head back?" "Sure. Let's go." Tez gets his phone out and types something. I shrug and walk out of the door.

Hayes' pov

Tez: omw with her. Is everything set up and everyone there?

Me: yes. Camerons here and even the Dolans. Which I'm surprised since Grayson and Ethan don't even know her that much 😂

Tez: well she knows them. They're all over her wall. And she did have them over with Cameron that one night.

Me:  yeah don't remind me

"Okay everyone! They are on their way. And the Panera is a block from here so everyone hide and I'll turn the lights off." I tell so everyone can here me. And if you're asking about my ribs, yes they still hurt but I don't care. I hear a car pull up. "Okay they're here everyone hide!" Jaylen yells and I turn the lights off and crotch behind the fridge.

Hali's pov

"Looks like Hayes and Nash are at the Vet still cause the lights and everything are off and the doors locked." I shrug. I take the key Hayes gave me when we were hanging out before we started dating and unlock the door. I open the door and the lights turn on and a loud wave of "SURPRISE!" came from all around the room.
I bring my hands to my mouth and blush. I see Hayes in the kitchen and I run to him giving him the biggest and tightest hug ever. "Babe you didn't have too." I cry with joy. "Oh but I had too. You do everything for me so I decided to do something for you." I pull back and kiss him. "Hey love birds. I got something for you Hali." Jaylen says smirking. "It's in the back yard." She starts walking to the back. I raise an eyebrow and follow her. "Okay close your eyes or have Hayes cover your eyes." Hayes puts his hands over my eyes and leads me to the door. Jaylen opens it and we step down. We walk a little further on the deck. "Okay open your eyes." He removes his hands and there stood a 450 Yamaha dirtbike. "No! No you didn't!" I smile and run to it. "Oh but I did."
