Farkle walked downstairs to the cold, sad basement.
He opened the door, which let out a loud creak.
There he saw the 3 terrified children all huddled in a corner. He smirked and approached them.
"Hello, children. I have come to inform you that I will be leaving to go on a trip for my job. I will be gone for about a week. I have already called a few of my friends to stay here and watch you all, so don't get any ideas."
The children sat there, and stared at him blankly.
"Are you ever going to let us out of here?" Bailey asks.
Farkle laughs and says "Where is the fun in that?"
And with that, he leaves the room.
Once the kids were sure that he was away from the door, Bailey started talking.
"I know he said not to get any ideas, but I can't help but think about what it would be like to leave."
"I want to leave too, but I'm used to being here. I've been here for most of my life." Says Amber
"Being out of here is great. You would love it, Amber." Replies Bailey.
"Farkle said his friends were on the way. That doesn't mean they are here yet. This is our chance, guys. We can leave." Said Auggie
"Farkle also said not to get any ideas, Auggie. Are you willing to take a risk?" Asked Bailey.
"I'm willing to get out of here, I've only been here for a little while, but it's been long enough for me to know that I'm ready to leave."
"Ok then, its settled. We are going to get out of here."
