There was a private funeral service for Angelic, one of the various maids of whom I worked with. Who knew that her father used to be among the best gamblin' lords in these parts? It was only respectable to have a proper burial for her, though her father couldn't care less. It was organized by none other than Mrs. Fulton herself, yet still it wasn't like the secret wasn't known. It was no secret that the only reason why she was doing this was out of guilt. Although some chose to stay in the dark we all knew how she died.

''May her soul rest in perfect peace.'', the Reverend father concluded making an invisible cross in on his chest with his head down.

I let out a sigh allowing my eyeballs to move about, scanning everyone else standing in black. There were only a few people at the service. Six of her long lost relatives along with some people that just felt sorry for her. There was some talk over theories of what really could have happened to her, all though it kept to a minimum. By now everyone knew that there was some type of witchcraft of voodoo of some kind at work here; the way people kept dying. There were even whispers of Salem happenings at work as well.

Some were either weeping or praying. I was suddenly elbowed hard in the side of my stomach by Stella as she brought her finger to her lips.

I shot her a reassuring look as the burial concluded.

''Sho is a pity. The way Angel died.'', Stella mentioned as we walked through the gates of the cemetery.

I nodded simultaneously kicking at the dirt listening to the dry dirt crunch underneath our shoes.

''Stella...how do you go about making a deal with the devil?'', I asked.

I noticed her stop within her tracks through my peripheral vision as I turned around. She was staring at me silent and frozen. Before I knew it, she grabbed me painfully by my arm and pulled me aside and out of the way of the other people.

''Y/N...have you gone completely crazy? How could you say something like that?'', she whispered harshly.

''I know what I'm saying Stella. Don't you remember what happened to Mr. Fulton two weeks after Angelic was murdered? She broke out in hives! Then I heard her whispering to Diamera about how she had bad blood, and if they don't get rid of her she could kill Mrs. Fulton.''

Stella let out a rigged sigh trying to avoid all eye contact. I knew she believed that I was talking nonsense, but I know damn well something was wrong.

''Stella don't you see? Mrs. Fulton was afraid of Angelic for some reason. Why do you think her put this whole thing together herself? Believe it or not, I used to see her sneak off at night with something like a box in her hand. So it could be that Mrs. Fulton snatched her up before the hell hounds could. I've heard all kinds of stories about the crossroads but...I never believed that they were true.'', I said deemed to convince her.
