Carly was running around her room frantically. She seemed super stressed out.
"What's up with you?" I asked, leaning in her doorway.
"I didn't tell you?"
"Nope." I said, sitting on her bed.
She smiled widely. "Blake asked me out on a date!"
My eyes widened and I smiled. "Really!?"
"Yes! He won't tell me where we're going and I'm trying to find the right outfit." She said, going through her drawers.
"Just dress casual. This is Blake we're talking about. He's a chill guy so your probably going somewhere chill."
She smiled. "Thanks C."
"No problemo." I said, helping her look for a good outfit.
After going through almost everything she owns, we decided on a good outfit. I helped her get ready, and soon the doorbell rang.
She sighed. "I'm nervous."
"You'll be fine." I smiled as she walked towards the door.
She went out and I was in the house alone. I got pretty bored so I texted Winter.
Me: Wanna go to the movies?
Winter👭: Of course! I've been dying to see the Bye-Bye Man
Me: Kk. There's a showing at 5'
Winter👭: Cool. I'll swing by around 4:40
It was only about 3', so I decided to just chill. When it was 4', I started getting ready.

Soon I heard my doorbell ring. I opened the door to see Winter....and Nate.
I gave them a small smile. "Hey."
"Hey you!" Winter smiled.
"Hey Ciara." Nate said.
I let them in and pulled Winter to the side. "I thought it was just gonna be us."
"Nate wanted to tag along." She said.
"I don't want to be a third wheel." I whined.
"Oh come on C. You can invite someone so you don't feel like a 'third wheel'." She smiled.
I sighed and looked down at my phone. I couldn't invite Grayson because him and Ethan were filming today. I couldn't invite Carly because she's out with Blake. The only person that I could think of was Chase, so I invited him out with us. We'd hung out s few times.
Me: You doing anything today?
Chase👽: Nope. My days free. Why?
Me: I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies with me..🙂
Chase👽: Sure. Just tell me when and where
I smiled and texted him the details then got into the car with Winter and Nate. As we arrived at the movie theater, we got out and walked inside. I looked around to see Chase waiting for us.
"Chase!" I yelled to get his attention.
He turned and smiled at me. "Hey Ciara." He said, hugging me.
I hugged him back and smiled. "Hey Chase."
Winter and Nate walked up to us and told Chase 'Hi.'
"So what movie are we seeing?" Nate asked looking up at the choices.
"The Bye-Bye Man." Me and Winter said simultaneously.
We smiled at each other.
"That cool with you Chase?" I asked.
He nodded. "Of course."
We got our tickets and our food and went into the theater. I was enjoying the movie then when I turned my bead I saw Winter and Nate making out. I sighed and turned to Chase.
"Pretty close couple huh." He said.
"Yeah." I said, focusing my attention back on the screen.
He reached for the popcorn and our hands touched each other awkwardly. I smiled at him, moved my hand away, and handed him the popcorn bucket.
"Thanks." He smiled.
After the movie was over, we all decided to get something to eat. We went out to a local diner. I sat next to Chase who kept flirting with me. I didn't mind it though. Winter noticed and she raised an eyebrow at us and smirked. After our food came, and we finished eating, I decided to go to the restroom. As I walked to the bathroom, some guy walked up to me in a creepy way.
He gave me a grimy smile and walked towards me. "Hey beautiful."
"Hey." I said, turning away from him.
He cornered me. "You sure are a looker."
I moved further away from him.
"Come on baby. Don't be scared." He said, reaching for my waist.
Before I could react, I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist protectively and pull me close to them. I could hear Chase's deep voice.
"Back off." He said.
"Who are you? Her bodyguard?"
"Her boyfriend. Now leave before I smash your face in."
Chase gave him an intimidating stare and still had a tight, comforting grip on my waist.
"Alright. Whatever." The guy said, walking away.
Chase loosened his grip on my waist but still kept his hands on them. "You okay?"
"I'm fine. Thanks for..doing that."
"No problem. I couldn't just let him harass you."
I smiled.
He smiled back and sighed. "You wanna get out of here?"
"Sure." I said, following him out too his car.
I told Winter that I was leaving with Chase and we drove to my house. He walked me up to my door and we smiled at each other.
"Today was nice." I said, smiling up at him.
He smiled. "Yeah it was."
We both looked into each others eyes and leaned in. As soon as our lips meet, he pulled me closer to him. Something didn't feel right though. I slowly pulled away and blushed.
"I'm sorry." He said awkwardly.
"Don't apologize." I smiled. "Goodnight Chase."
"Goodnight beautiful." He smiled before walking away.
I looked down to notice that I was still wearing his jacket.
"Oh. Chase wait!" I yelled.
He stopped and looked up.
"Your jacket." I said, motioning to it.
"It's fine. Keep it." He said, before heading into his car.
I sighed and walked inside my house with a smile on my face.
