Welcome to the Team, Malfoy

Chapter 1

I don't own anything.
       I walk into Harry's office and see him sitting by his desk looking over a letter.

"Hey Harry, what do you have there?" I ask, sitting in front of his desk. He looks up. I can see he looks uncertain of something.

"Hey Mione, umm. You might wanna see this." He said. He handed me the piece of paper. I took it and started to read.

Dear Mr.Potter
Since the last mission's tragedy(with the five deaths) I have to ask you to recruit at least one more wizard/witch you feel would make a good auror. Please inform Mr. Weasley and Ms.Granger to do the same.

I looked up at Harry. "So you have anyone in mind?" He thought for a minute. "Do you think Ginny would want to? She has the strength and bravery to be an auror. Not to mention she can be quite terrifying when she wants to be." I laugh.

"Who knows,"I said,"It's worth a shot." Just then, Ron comes into the office, looking giddy.

"Mate,"He says, looking at Harry. I don't think he sees I'm sitting. Right. Here. "Did you see Susan Bones lately." He did a low whistle,"She needs to come see me!" Harry and I rolled our eyes.

Harry gestured towards me and Ron turned to look at me. "Oh, hey Mione didn't see you there." When does he ever?

Ron and I called it off a couple months after the war. Things just didn't work out. It had nothing to do with the fact he almost stared at every single girl that walked by. No, not at all.

"That's fine Ronald. Anyways,"I turned to Harry,"Why don't you inform him about Shacklebolt's request." Harry nodded and handed the letter to Ron. Ron took it and quickly read it.

He looked at us,"Is he serious?" We nodded. "Anyone in mind?" I asked. He thought for a moment, like Harry did, then said,"How about Luna? She is loony sometimes but she does know how to use magic."

I could agree with that. During the war, I ran into Luna a couple times. We ended up fighting some deatheaters together and to be honest, with her, I didn't get hexed once. She was always there blocking them and throwing something back, despite her calm but determined demeanor.

"Luna would actually fit perfectly,"I said,"She would make a great auror." Ron nodded,"Should I go to her sometime today?" He asked.

Harry answered,"The sooner the better. I was thinking of asking Ginny." Ron looked at him,"But then you two would be snogging on the bloody battlefield." I stifled a laugh. The fact Harry and Ginny were still together surprised me. But then again not really.

Harry rolled his eyes then looked to me,"Did you think of anyone?" I thought for a minute.

Harry and Ron thought of people who we knew. Though they were good people and would make great aurors maybe we could use someone more.....I don't know. Someone who's seen the good and the bad side of the war. Someone who has good strategy and very sly. Someone who no one would think of.........perhaps a certain Slytherin.

I looked at my two best friends, who I knew for as long as I can remember,"I think I know just the person."
